@RedGryz I never noticed that before, but you're right! According to IMDb, though, they're different people. The person who voices Freya also voices Aelia, which is the voice actress for Ash from the Pokémon anime. (She really sounds like Ash when she does Dreaded Dragon :x)

I first played Star Ocean 2 about 11 years ago, and it was pretty much one of the best games I'd ever played, and in my opinion had the best OST of any game I'd played bar none.

I never got to play VP until a good number of years after that because it was never released in the UK, but as a game it equals or even surpasses SO2, especially in terms of story. The plot is like no other. These games truly represent tri-Ace at their most dominant time IMO.

Why Arngrim is forbidden to go to Vallhalla even if u raise is personal traits?

In my party he has 86 hero value and I can't transfer it.

Anyways transferring it to Vallhala is a great loss for the party.

@Nagrandt Freya refuses to accept him, claiming that he dosent posess the persanal qualitys that they seek, the real reasoning is probably that Arngrim is too unruly and is not obedint enough to take orders. That and Arngrim has a history with Odin and the Valkyries, But you'll have to play VP2 for the PS2 to find out about that.

the chapel actually resembles the one in Solde, so i guess its kind of a lingering memory of Lenneth's previous incarnations.

but, as show on this very game if you have the A ending, her memories of previous incarnations have been erased by Freya for she sees the possibility of a betrayal such as Silmeria's (see more on Covenant of the Plume), so I don't think it is that way. nor am I'm saying my "theory" is true, its just something that reminded me =D

I didn't like it that much. I mean, its really great, the battle system puts a little more strategy on character positioning and attack order (which is also great), but the plot doesn't make up to the previous game. but it is good nonetheless

I guess it's probable that you've already addressed this, but you're overdriving your mike a bit. If you can turn down the volume or gain on it a bit, the peaks of your sound waves will stop getting cut off.

Urd, Verdandi, and Skuld were the norns, who were like the Fates. The Eddas were texts that contain a lot of information about Norse Mythology, and the last name you started seems to be Brunehilde (Brynhildr), who is a valkyrie in Volsunga Saga.

I personally count this opening as one of my all-time favorites for ANY game, period. I appreciate you bringing us this playthrough, but harping on the 'overly-long' cutscenes/intro/prologue' and the voice acting is getting a bit grating. It's a good walkthrough, but the storyline critiques are a bit.....unnecessary.

uhmm I too use Eternal Spu and i already turn on those 2 Spu IRQ but still sometimes when a character talks with the game freezes XD Im not the only one who suffer this prob others do too XD they said VP hates emulator XD

In order for the game to play properly on an emulator, you need certain game fixes related to the SPU IRQ. This is all sound related. The plugin I use for my sound is the Eternal SPU Plugin, and it has fixes so VP will play properly. I haven't had any problems video related as far as I know.

What emulator do you use? I tried ePSXe but the same happened for me, even though I use Eternal SPU.

I used epsxe as well with the Divx video codec and the Eternal SPU plugin for sound like I mentioned earlier. Not sure what else could be your problem. *shrug*
