I believe that the final boss was a bit easy on purpose, as to not ruin the final moments of the game by seeing your ass handed to a giant alien. Especially after you beat albedo you wouldnt want to lose to sophie to go back and fight albedo twice.

when i fought sophie i just put X-buster on high slot and spammed that like albedo going insane more than he already is.

Killed this thing maybe in 2 minutes o.O? So easy.... :) He took Kosmos down to about 600 HP... had quick on KosMos with bravesoul and the golden dice... each R Dragon did about 2k.... in addition to 2k damage from Jr.

I beat this guy fairly easily with Shion having The skill that Shoots beam up and falls as rain-ish beams, does around 1k every turn, pretty much used HI speed tech moves. and finished him off with Erde Kaiser since I need to get the save file asap and hop on XS2

Kos mos was 48 shion 45 and chaos 45.... lmao Kosmos was that level when I beat XS2 too

ok i dont want to be a noob but i beat the final boss at level 50 and it was hard becuase he kept useing omen cannen. my team was shion,kos,mos and momo.there tech attaks were momo- angel arrow florol tempest shion- spell ray luner blade and kos-mos x-buster r hammer.

A move that really got me through this battle quite easily was spell ray. It does some big damage to this bad boy if you level it up enough.

God-like? Blah. Use Mystic Nocturm with Jr. It's a killer move especialy against Albedo. Try to harvest some skill points too. I beat it at 43 in like 5 moves because of Jr and loads of skill points. If you have any left over before you fight it, use them to boast your party's atributes. If you have the Comander's Crest, which it dosen't look like you do, that could help a lot.

I never have used Erde Kaisar, lol, it's not hard at all to do. Chaos does a helluva lotta damage a lot, just alone.

I set Shion up with Boost 1, transfered it to Ziggy, gave KOS-MOS the double buster, and used Shions Safety Level on KOS-MOS. If you then keep Boosting KOS-MOS on Ziggy and Shions turn, and equip KOS-MOS with Bravesoul, A speeded up R-Dragon, hell even a nicely leveled and speeded up R-Drill will make KOS-MOS kill this boss quicker and a rather lower level than these three here

Not too sure whether the person who posted this video or the creators of the game got it wrong, but since the Pistis Sophia constitutes the pricipal teachings of Gnosticism, I am sure that is what the game intends to name the boss. I doubt "breasts" of Sophia, per the Portuguese translation below ;-)

in my file on all three xenosaga games my party of choice was always shion kos-mos and momo and i never lost either. by the way, is there a skill that can be extracted from the double buster accessory? i noticed that all of your characters seemed to be wearing one, but that seems unlikely since i was only ever able to obtain one double buster. i didnt get erde kaiser until the third time i played through cause i was playing without a guide book for the game.

I actually use the equipment Seargent's Crest (or something like that) with the dual buster item (or whatever it's called that Shion has equiped to let her do two O attacks. So every turn she is using one of the O attacks and ever other turn she uses both.

I had help from using Erde Kaiser and leveling up X-Buster quite a bit. X-Buster hit about 2200 hp each time i used it with Ether limit.

I agree with it being the best. After this one, Xenosaga II started getting extremely...blasphemous. If you focus on Kos-Mos arm cannon, you can have it doing doing at least 1,000 damage every hit, and even up to 1,500 on criticals; this is EVERY turn.

Ziggy and KOS-MOS aren't all that great, mainly because they're slow. Also, KOS-MOS' X-Buster doesn't have the "Air" property, meaning it can't hit enemies in the back row.

Then there's the fact that most bosses from the Song of Nephilim onwards resist beam, lightning, and fire damage, which encompasses all of KOS-MOS and Ziggy's ether-based techs.

Technically, the best party would be MOMO, chaos, and Jr.

Hmm... I've beaten this boss faster by using boost attacks which target a single enemy, like Shion's Spell Ray, I think at level 16 or 17 it was doing nearly twice the damage this guy's boost attack does. Heh, never thought anyone would brag about killing such an easy boss though, seriously, is it even possible to lose while fighting her? Some random enemies' combinations in Song of Nephilim were more challenging than her.

Level 55 and you lost? I killed him in 3 attack turns (and around 4 buff turns) at lvl 50... I didnt even bother to get erde kaiser cause my characters can dish out 5000-8000damage per round for much smaller cost.

There is an accessory called a "boost pack" (forgot where I found it, google it!)that you can equipment to an ally that starts you off with a boost at the start of a battle. I simply extracted the skill with each character so they all could take advantage of its effect. (Did the same so everybody had "Double Buster" and "Speed +25" as well)
