  • thanks for nice tutorial. I have trouble seeing your mouse move, otherwise is very helpful. Is there a way to make the brush size larger?, I use the parenthesis key, but the maximum size is rather limited.

  • @gychang00 I recommend downloading the GPS add on. It will give you a lot of really great brushes and brush presets, including bigger versions of the existing brushes.

  • you make it so simple <3 i actually understand how it works now XD

  • I'd like to customize my interface so that the toolbox isn't on my way, like you did... Help! :(

  • @SuzanaFeo Sure! All I did was make my actual gimp window (the one the image displays in) smaller than my entire window. I stretched it so that it is in-line with the toolboxes on the side, make sense?

  • Not by changes... I mean it won't do what I want to do.

  • I need help, how do you color in something without coloring over and object. I know about layers, and all, but whenerver I adjust the layers, it always changes...

  • @spottedlpelt try this.

create a new layer - set the layer mode to "color." (you can do this from the drop-down menu in the layers dialog box.)

    now try coloring.

  • @TehSecretSlayer Chances are your paint is getting pixelated because your resolution is too low. If you are working on an image from scratch like I do in this lesson, all you need to do is turn up your x and y resolution. This can be done by clicking file>>>new. After that, click on the "advanced options" plus button. This will bring up the x and y resolution. Set this to a minimum of 300 pixels/in.

    Hope that helps.

  • thx man!

  • dude, help me!!!

that right thing for the layers and brushes... something happen and now it's gone!

    help meee!

  • @boji1223123 This issue is pretty common. All you have to do is click windows>>>recently closed docks>>>layers, channels, paths
