  • thanks

  • why the FUCK... would I pay $25?

  • @iiHazHax No one said you had to, but if you wanted me to transform you into a cartoon, that's what I charge.

  • @iiHazHax haha

  • omfg im doing it and mny pic is startin to actually come alive . . . yay !!!! thanx <3 <3

  • hi!

    thanks for the great tutorial.

the technical part is quite clear to me. can you recommend any further readings or tutorials on which lines to choose and which to leave out?

  • @franksterling I don't know if I can teach that part. It really comes down to experience and intuition. But as a general rules outer lines are thicker.

  • @architectus777 thanks for the quick answer. i think then i will just start. things will come with time i guess.

  • where can i undo beside the edit menu?

  • How to undo beside the edit menu?

  • How to undo beside the edit menu?

  • Where i can get, a brush like yours, because i search it, and i cannot find it

  • Five people don't have Photoshop...

  • dude,

    use pen tool.

  • for real

  • putang ina mo.. muka kang pera!! 25$ ibibigay ko sayo? mhiya ka naman.. di ka naman kagalingan eh!

  • way too fast

  • Thanks for the video.

  • Great tutorial

  • THIS IS THE BEST TUTORIAL YET, I LEARNED ALOT FROM YOU. THANK YOU SO MUCH, THIS IS A GREAT N EASY TO UNDERSTAND TUTORIAL!!!! =)

  • SO ARE YOU USING A MOUSE OR A USB PEN AND PAD?

  • thank you so much for making and sharing this! wonderful work! I am gonna try and make one myself right now :)

  • great!!!

  • Ah-Mazing

  • I have a silly q..how do get to fill the layer of the desired color you want?..cuz did what u do in the vid but it wouldn't apply,is there like a shortcut for that or what am i doing wrong?..ps:this tutorial is awesome and i u are quite pro ^^

  • @SimpsonLover Use the paint bucket.

  • @architectus777 right!..but i see that many paint the layer that shows in the right panel and that won't work for me so i do use it to paint the actual layer

  • @architectus777 but mine no have paintbucket

  • I loved!!! Thanks.... You'r excellent!!! :D

  • can you turn one of my pics in a comic nathanwicks@yahoo.co.uk

  • You Are My HERO!!!

  • what kind of pen did you use? nice tuts by the way :D

  • Your vid is the best one I have seen to date on this subject. Quick and easy. Thanks for the tips. You have a nice blend of hand drawn art and photoshop steps to create something personal instead of letting photoshop do all the work.

  • Thanks i just learned something today lol

  • Thnx!!

  • the brush he is using seem like a special type of brush, if u ask me, cos look how it looks, its not regular, so idk y he's lyin

  • @Queenweezy1 There is nothing special about it. Look up Wacom tablets. You need a tablet in order to use pen pressure and pen size set to pen pressure. You CANNOT do what I do with a mouse, the way I do it.

  • @architectus777: where can i find Wacom tablets?

  • Cool !!!

  • what kind of brush did you use??? Nice tutorial by the way

  • @jheckdota Round brush set with nothing but size for pen pressure.

  • @architectus777 ok thanks gonna try it

  • @architectus777 also, how do i make my brush like yours.... pointed i mean 00:38

  • but this is also a form of tracing right :)?

you should try it free hand.

  • @mugichan There's no point. The goal is to convert a photo into a cartoon in the quickest way possible and get paid.

  • Thank you this was very helpful for me =) and i now find this fun to do =D

  • fantastic instructional video, i struggle with choosing the right lines and shading/highlights. any tips?

  • Amazing!

  • I have pse 6, will that work to do what you just did on this tutorial? =)

  • hi,

all of your tuts are very helpful. this one is a good tut on how to do old work .

you said you do line work in illustrator. can you do a tut on line work in illustrator.I like working in illustrator. I'm trying to get better with that program. thanks , Jimi

  • how did you do the backround lines?

  • @lunasuset - the background is a simple starburst effect. you can achieve this by using the spiral looking shape from the custom shape menu or i have created a tutorial on here explaining another (better) method or there are plenty others out there.

  • Where can i download dis website

  • @MrShamps100 *this.

  • this video is awesome!!!! quick and easy aye?? lol KubaBooba your a dick you dont know anything!!!!

    ART IS ANYTHING

    BUT IT ISN'T EVERYTHING!!!!!!

  • @KubaBooba That is one opinion, but as an artist, I find it harder to draw on the PC, even with a Cintiq. Do to this, I could say real art is done on a computer with some sort of drawing tablet, but that would simply be wrong. Art is art, regardless of the medium used.

  • @architectus777 any creation is art.

  • @architectus777 It is harder, but Roy Litchenstein painted with dots...DOTS.

  • @whatachola I don't think so. Magazines print in dots. Even if he wanted dots, he would use mesh, not paint perfect dots.

  • @architectus777 Umm no? he used dots, ben-day dots.

  • this tutorial didnt help at all...you where not specific on how and where to click...not everyone has set up colors and stuff like you do...if you could please make a tutorial that is alot more specific.

  • @scoobytheboxer I typically don't make tutorials for beginners. the only beginning tutorial I have right now is the Pear Tutorial.

  • are u using a mouse? i probably think ur not

  • @gh0stfac3 he said he's using a wacom tablet

  • thx...

  • awesome tutorial i made one looks great. thanks

  • Excellent Work. Negative criticism of good work is usually coming from talentless people with little imagination. You Rock. This is what youTube should be used for more often. Keep it up.

  • thank you very much that was very helpful

  • cant you use the paths option?

  • Thanks for this nice tutorial... but, how can I make the hard round brush pointed on both ends? the default brush is not in that form...?

  • thats not like lichtenstein, its far from pop art, check... messed up at coloring

  • @Mau372 Everyone's intitled to their opinions. :p And everyone's a critic.

  • @architectus777 I can't find the brush same like you.

  • You don't have any content posted. Your words mean nothing.

  • No He's Usiing A Diigiital Tablet!

  • i want a pointed end brush too :( where can get 1...

  • Kool! Thanks for the tut!

  • I did it ! :)

  • awesome..great..!i hope i can do this on my own..!

  • @liddobambamboo I think you mean Image-Adjustments-thresshold.

  • super - your the man! 5 stars for sure. Kip up the good work

  • excelent very very nice!

  • I dont get it, when you made the brush at the very beginning, I get how you made the hardness go up, but how did u make it pointed at the ends like that?

  • You need a tablet

  • dude can u upload the shape then send it 2 me plz

  • dude wts the name of the brush u used on the background

  • It's a shape, using the shape tool.

  • i cant find that shape!! what is it??=S

  • great tut, thanks alot, very helpful

  • Hi! A great tutorial, very helpful. Question though . . . how did you do the background in the finished product? It really makes the finished work pop. Will you explain?

  • DUDE!! Thank you very much.. i made my own cartoon. and it came out great.... well at least i tried XD

  • nice tutorial. too bad i dont have money for the tablet, i think here in the Philippines it will cost about 5000 pesos bout a 120+ dollars. maybe some other time. anyway i learned a lot from your video, thanks

  • y havnt i got those lines in my brshes? can u show me how to get them?

  • best cartoon tutorial on youtube 10/10. thanks a lot for sharing

  • What are you talking about?

  • whats that brush? i cant find it?'

    that brush having pointed edges?

  • please what is the name of the brush ??

  • who's that sexy mama honey?:)))

  • Hey, there you are. Do you like your cartoon self?

  • thanks.

  • can you do that with photoimpact too ?

  • No, how do I get that curvy stroke when I'm choosing my brush? Because all I can see here in my palette are straight forward stroke ones. How do I set that up?

  • You need to buy a Wacom tablet. The Bamboo is $80

  • What is that brush? I can't seem to find that kind of stroke in my preset brushes

  • Are you using a pressure sensative tablet?

  • what INTUOS 3 or 4?????

  • i USE iNTUOS 3.

  • You're a great artist man, this was awesome, as always.

  • wow that looks great!

I have a bamboo tablet but it really doesn't work the way it should I think. but well maybe I should just get used to the way it works :P

  • Have you tried changing the settings so the pen works as a mouse?

  • hmm i didn't know that was possible, I'll look into that, thanks :)
