your fish is pretty big... but then not as big as mine in the year of 1999-2007 i Cupid Xiong was the master of rancho cordova and caught the bigest shad ever 3ft long shad...and was know the king of rancho but then nice to see people fishing there again ..bring back memorys.

nice catch but that was kinda too long just to pull that in. i pull in a fat o carp with 4 lb test and my pole was shorter and probably 3 times as flexible as your pole and it only took me roughly 3 min

@hmglor Well i just 6 pound test always, because i use jigs dart and they don't throw very far without a small line, so i figure 6 pound and a sinker would be good and its always catches me shad all the time, no joke. It good to loosen your drag when you catch a shad on 6 pound line cause it could snap it, but if your good with your reel, you should do fine....Just like i did here on this video.
