Well, it was hard for me to transition from the Rock Band kit to the Guitar Hero kit mostly because of the new cymbals. I was able to quickly adjust to them, though.
Overall, the drums aren't too bad as far as difficulty goes though, so you should be fine.
When I say this, it's most likely a result of me flailing on them so much, but the cymbals didn't seem as responsive to me as the rest of the kit. Other than that, the drums are pretty nice, good feel to them.
