  • Jason, I'm earning my brown belt and teaching some classes and moves, I agree with Roger Gracie that the simple moves are the best, I will definately be sharing the minor details of this video for my next lesson, thanks!

  • Hello jason, i just subscribed to your channel, very interesting stuff, thank you!

  • great video. keep them coming

  • Someone needs to invent a way for me to stream your vids to my retina and ear drum while I'm rolling.

  • Awesome video, this is literally the one thing that I have problems with and I think you might of cleared a lot up for me. No to try it out tomorrow!

  • I like the detail about moving the knee to the butt after you open up your knee 1st

  • @jasculs. You're stuff has been insane. You're doing with these short videos what other black belts do with whole DVD series. Much respect.

  • does this work well in no gi?

thanks :D appreciate the video been thinking about this a lot recently

  • breaking down the basics. Love it Jay! great stuff!

  • This is helpful as should require less strength than other ways to open the guard.

  • do you mind telling me how tall you are? and maybe how much you weigh?

  • Extremely helpful, will workshop this one.

  • One request Jason sorry for not posting it on my last post, could you possibly show the entire pass, thanks my friend...

  • @rp8973 I'll show some passes in the future..this is to get you started with passing..one you get the legs open there is a huge variety of passes you can then continue with.

  • Jason thanks for taking the time to explain these lil details, the shuffling aspect made alot of sense, I will be aware of this and synchronizing it once I do this particular pass... Once again thank you...

  • nice, i first saw this from paulo saulo ribeiro but he did not include the knee in shuffle. i have had success with turning but i will definately add the shufle to the process. thanks jason! :)

  • Good stuff as always Jason! Your rear left hip is bumping his calf to open the leg when shuffling?

  • nice, just about to leave for training

  • Thanks for the important follow up Coach Jason.

  • Great explanation. This is how our instructor teaches breaking the guard.

  • excellent. I'm going to explore this tonight in class.
