I read Mr. Bulosan a few year ago while taking History of the PNW with one of the best teacher ever. (just four books for a history class).
All of them were great but America is in the Heart hit me the hardest.
Anyone that have read his book will understand you sobbing.
After all "America is, and always have been, at any point in time, the sum of the tension between its older and newer immigrants."
Just finished reading it 3rd time & am feeling like you.
