This is one of the Phones that SE created with a good sound quality (at least with Music and with headset). Unfortunately, the earpiece the weakest point of the device as a lot of people complained of faulty performance (no sound) -- mine has this fault too.

I got this when it came in 2006. God it was good back then. The camera was just beyond everything else you had ever seen on a mobile device! And it's still soo good. I looked at my photos I took with this phone, and on some photos it looks like it's got optical zoom! It's beautiful! Then I got my iPhone 3GS that has very much more than the K800i, but I am never forgetting my old Sony Ericsson.

I have had my K800 since 2007. Its in fine tune, nothing wrong with it. My brother and dad both have the Nokia IPhone(I think). The camera on theirs is terrible, my camera is better.

Had the K800 since March 2007. In July 09 the keypad broke, I then bough the G900, which I couldn't stand for more than a week, then got the G705, excellent phone, but I was soon fed up with it, then fixed my K800 with 60 euros, and I have it again. IT IS BY FAR THE BEST PHONE OF THE DECADE.

Behind? What you talking about? Uber-large touchscreen? No everyone want this. 8 megapixel camera with optical size of ant head? Marketing sh*t. There's no better quality on 3.2 mpix phone, k800i is the best of thoose. Only joystick is weak point, but mine works almost fine after 1,5 year using (it need cleanup, never cleaner before ;p).

All new SE phones are thiner k800i, with sometimes... less features. k550i, k800i, k510i, k300i, k610i, k750/d750, w800 and k700, that was very, very solid and good phones from Sony Ericsson.

And i'm not talking about high-end SE phones like Satio or C905/W9xx. K800i was last, user friendly, solid and really good in price/quality SE phone. I'm not "k800" fanboy, i had many SE phones im my hand, many used everyday, i'm most satisfated with k800i, if i would have a chance to change to other SE phone, it will be P1i, no other crap.

I pick up the K800 hope it a right choice, from the comments and review look like a great phone. Picture seems better then the D900 but i like the way the D900 slide but oh well.

i just bought this phone for about 2weeks and it is really a great phone but things what i don't like of this phone are:

1. low sound especially sms tone.

2. short playing time of sms tone. about 10sec only.

3. cannot use front camera for taking pictures & videos.

4. cannot use it's back led as a flashlight unlike k700i's.

you know my classmate's n73 is a little bit annoying.. when you are activating the camera and you are about to get a shot.. damn, you will see that you didn't captured the picture because it's getting out of the camera menu, then going back there in it's own... and also it has a very slow functioning system.. sony's got all the things i want, sleek, faster, great camera and fast image viewer! =D

Music isn't as loud as I'd like, but the screen and the camera are very good and it's an easy to use phone. I don't like the new K850 though, touch screen isn't very popular at the moment although 5MP sounds nice.

i have these k800i but now i want the HTC TyTn II its awesome about the same price i suggest u look into it just search on utube the photos are lots better on the se k800 but HTC TyTn II is mush more advanced {uses windows mobile 6}

both have good 3g wifi connection u can watch youtube on both phones but u can get skyfire{search for ur self}on the HTC TyTn II
