Apostacy has one meaning in Christianity and another in Islam. In christianity, which used to execute apostates, apostacy is when someone leaves the religion. And in Islam, apostacy is when someone leaves the religion and then gravely denounces and mocks it, eg. Salman Rushdie.
The penalty for adultery isn't death. I know that for a fact. It's is pretty harsh in my opinion, too, though.
And in Islam, the killing of any human life, unless it is for protection of self/others is haram.
