@0801Steve , I totally agree with you. I also recommend you to hear John Hiseman and the Colosseum for another peak in musicality and endurance. I first saw them in the 1970 Plumpton Festival.
I'm debating getting "Iron Butterfly: Fillmore West 1968". Which is a really cool looking compilation of four live shows recorded at the Fillmore West in 1968. It features the DEBUT of In A Gadda Da Vida before anyone else had heard it. Two months before that album was released actually. It was on a late leg of the Heavy tour. It has some of the really greats: "Iron Butterfly Theme," "Possession," "Are You Happy?" and of course IGDV.
u must read this. once u have started there is no turning back. a litle 10 year old girl was raped and murdered in 1945. her body was not fund until 1947. then a boy last week read this and did not copy and paste this message. the dead girl appeared in his room haunting him and killed him. if you do not copy and paste this onto 10 videos 30 minutes the dead girl will appear in your room tonight and hant you and kil you. well you better start to copy and paste to be save

What order are the guitar solos, Pinera first, then Rhino? Still one of the most musical drum solos in rock.

@0801Steve Mike Pinera rocks. I've met him quite a few times over the years and he always amazes me. He is on Facebook.

@NATJACKASSTEAM Yes. That's what happened to me when I saw them perform this from backstage in 1969.

Kinda weak in my opinion. The keyboard, which carries this song, was no doubt lacking in that classic dynamic sound. Still a great find.
