@wengen2007. Thank you so much Martin . Though it's been nearly a century, the Romanov's example of standing by those you love and finding strength by doing so, does not fade with the passage of time. It only grows in significance .
@IamHelenKeller . Alexei had his mother's colouring, both hair and eyes, it seems as well. Would you believe he's 12 in that photo? Alexei can seemed older than his age in his photos . Thank you, Helen! :) My Tatiana portrait video will be up in a few days!
@TheLoveBabyDoll .Thank you. It is called "Stand by me", a 1950's pop hit that has become a classic. In this version, the wonderful Tracy Chapman is singing. When the song speaks of facing trouble, I show photos of the family taken during their captivity and in the video there is no photo of just one member of the family. There is always at least two to stand together ...and stand they did.
@JusticeForTheYoung Thank you. How the Romanovs stood together as a family during their captivity always moves me . Their strength was found in their profund love for each other .
Powerful, gentle and loving.
And truly touching.

Hi Anne,
I enjoyed this latest video creation.
I haven't seen the photo of Alexei and Nicholas standing in the snow at 1:02.....
Alexei has an almost mature look in the photo at 1:35. You can see what he would have looked like as an adult. More like his mother than his father.
Looking forward to your next painting video.
Talk to you soon!
Regards! - Helen : )
