@AFRICA4AFRICANS Islam is not an Arabic religion, Arabic is a name of a language and in that language Islam means in English linguistically "submission". As a Muslim our legal ruling of Islam is "Submission to the One true God"...I hear your African thing but listen, God was here long before Africans. Islam is peaceful and pure, if one submits themselves completely to their creator nothing is violent about that. Don't confuse the religion with the people.

@AFRICA4AFRICANS I'm sorry that you do not know Arabic, because this is the main reason that Islam encourages Muslims to learn Arabic. Let me explain, there are many words in Arabic that can not be translated into English. If you learn the poetry of Arabic, the 13 signs of rhetoric and the science of Arabic your understanding of that Sura would be more accurate. God is not reffering to an actual color of skin, the translator is trying to imply purity. No one is out to get Black people.

The Kaaba is located on the very spot that Ibriham (a prophet from God) built the first place of worship to the One true God. We Muslims see this area as a holy place. Everything good and holy can't always be in Africa, can you give others in God's creation respect? The bottom line is, it is not about you or me or anyone, it is all about pleasing our creator. How can we take credit for anything?

Its just that knowing the Original language of revelation (which is Hebrew for what was revealed to Moses, Aramaic for what was revealed to Jesus and; different for different nations when prophet was sent to them), helps us to understand things directly. As for translations they may retain some form of meaning but the original depth of meaning and word power is lost in the process. Just try translating poetry from one language to another.
