Isn't this the place where some people use to be canabals? I saw an OLD documentary about it, and they were white people basically talking crap about it, but it's old, so no worrys. @Indigoheartgreenleaf lol-really? thats strange...I just got back from a interisland adventure cruise on the tui tai...scuba,surf,mtnbike,water­fall diving, sea kayaking,taking interisland mini boat tours,village trips,etc we did it! and to us- the place is perfect-Not all white sands...but visually stimulating everywhere you go! but only a slim part of what makes fiji special...the people make the experience...No better place anywhere in my opinion and I've been places...

There are definitely places in Fiji you do NOT want to go. However most of the bad things have been happening in Suva near the Capitol. Tourism is vital to Fiji, and they go out of their way to be hospitable to guests.

Fijians are good people and friendly by nature. Like so many other countries it is in the corrupt governments where the problems lie.
