I saw Met cinema as well! Fantastic! I was so IN watching it that it was as though I had meditated. I was totally of the feeling of LOVE---the best kind, of the sublime--when you flow! My friends get into this mystical state as well so we three magnified the FEEL of IT around the room. And none of us could eat at intermission--we were of LOVE! Thanks! I see that Roberto loves Mario Lanza! Indeed--not quite there but almost!

I saw the transmission yesterday as well, at a concert hall, and it was AWESOME, scenery, costumes, singing, acting, EVERYTHING!

I've also seen the transmission at my local cinema yesterday and I it was fantastic. Elina is a perfect Carmen! Her voice and looks are predestinated for that role. Brava Elina!

I've just returned from seeing the direct transmission from the MET at my local cinema. Fantastic ! She's the best Carmen I have ever seen - truly Carmen incarnate. The voice, the looks, the 'hauteur' of Elina - all perfect for the rôle. For me she wasn't 'acting' Carmen - she WAS Carmen. Superb ! Brava !!

I saw her in this new Met production1/5/2010 and she was great. I thought hers was the strongest voice of the 4 main characters (included Frittoli, Alagna and Kwiecien). Also very convincing as an actor....and a pretty good dancer in this number besides!
