  • 'thou shall not rape' is not in the ten commandments.

  • did not under stand spri sorry

  • I watch this for the beard and the interesting backgrounds.

  • 11:46 well yea thats true John Brown tried that in kansas before the civil war and it did not work

  • I like how the video that is based mainly around religion has a suggestion in the side for a call of duty game..

  • Ha! I hope you didn't shave the beard.

  • Creation is created by God/Allah.Creation is therefore not independent from God and whatever moral lessons we derive from creation has been been through the will of God.

Within Gods creation there are rights and there are wrongs.

Gods commanments are a reminder of the rightous way that we should follow if we seek to be at harmony with the universe.

lastly but not least, morality is not external.

Its internal. Its based on the intentions of the acts.

Gods commands keeps the intentions rightous

  • I'm just going through your video. I'm at 6:52 and you ask the question: "Is the principle right because God commands it or does He command it because it is right?" I haven't heard where you are going with this (although I have a pretty good idea) and the answer from a Biblical perspective is neither. The moral principle is right because God is the standard. He is Right, He is Holy and therefore morality is a reflection of Himself. Honesty is right because He is Truth and in Him are no lies.

  • @bauerpowerca uh huh...sure it is.

  • @bauerpowerca That line of reasoning leaves you at the same problem as saying that Goodness is what is loved by the Gods. You're saying that A is equal to A, that God is God, and Goodness is Goodness; a tautology with no content. Moral philosophy collapses if you base it on a biblical framework, for if morality is acting in a way that is consistant with God's nature, every conceivable immoral act becomes possible as said entity advocates genocide and misogyny frequently in that book.

  • i don't believe in god or morality

  • Stalin, are you an atheist? I'm just wondering because I've never met anyone talk about God in that way.

  • @jakeshortj he is he has a vid on it

  • @RappaBitch oh good, i'm an atheist as well, it's good to see there are other atheists who aren't afraid to speak their mind.....

  • @jakeshortj A great man in the sky that knows about everything you do and judges you. He created the universe but still made laws that require killing his son and does not seem to be willing to just yell from the sky. "BELEIVE IN ME".

Morales: I do not like being shot, Do you? No? Lets agree not to shoot eachother.

  • Everyone knows that Socrates was the Original Troll.

    *Pours tea from Russell's Teapot*

    Cheers! :D

  • I truly love your point of view, it's hard these days to find someone who speaks out confidently about a belief that makes sense. I currently find myself in a state of agnosticism, I don't believe that there is no "god" whether it be some sort of celestial entity or anything else, Atheism is touchy, for me, I believe there is some sort of moral code in place given to us by creation, perhaps the commandments were simply the words of man with a moral code that he believed divine, others followed.

  • How god was made:

A cave man looks at the sky, and tries to think how it was made.

He gives up and assumes everything he cant understand was made by a all powerful being that he can never understand.

And god has nothing to do with moraltiy.

  • watch?v=CmsPeIlPLH4 and watch?v=yZJB3Nzfp3s&feature=channel not that any of you athiest will watch these, and not that Josef Stalin will read these comments, (because communism doesnt care for the people) but if you do watch these your eyes should be opened. PLEASE just watch them, if not the first the second and look through these guys videos, hes a realy smart Muslim man. Peace be with you all.

  • @mylesbradley1234 I read all comments.

  • @JosefVStalin LMAO

  • I'd just like to say one thing: the bible, the commandments, all of that was written by people. They just said it was God's word.

  • Damn you really dress well when you have to do a podcast (or whatever the hell its called).

  • Damn! thats a nice suit! * drool... *

  • Thanks. If God were too command morality through the commandments then, he would contradict himself. He says "Thou shalt not kill" yet millions of people die every day at his hand. So therefore God is above is above the commandments. That would mean that morales are right because God said they were, but again using the same arguments God would be evil. Therefore God cannot exist, he created a paradox in himself.

I know that is slightly unrelated but C'est le vie.

  • The real question should be Is God right?

you forget that there is Sin. God commands because people would have just a bad feeling and have no knowledge of what would be right. The reasoning of why there is an outside force is because we were given free choice. The game isn't to follow God' command. The game is choice. Choose or to not choose. Morality is choice. Morality is set up by God, but humans pick and choose. The Holy Spirit influences the concience. Choose to listen or choose ignore

  • "To kill an infidel, the Pope has said, is not murder. It is the path to Heaven."

  • @IiiERT The Pope is not God.

  • So?

  • @Spriglief he is the victor of Christ here on earth elected by the Vatican Counsel who gives up his name the very thing that defines him as a man to God. But he is still a man.

  • @kristianOLS No argument here with your statement.

  • @kristianOLS Which is to say he speaks with the moral authority of God which is to say with the authority of the community of Christ on Earth as vested in him by God. If we are to believe Stalin argument then who are we giving this authority? That person, thing, demon, unlike the Pope, will not be answerable to God or the community.

  • @Spriglief you freaking devil

  • Castro where's the cap O_O

  • @TomLULZ ''Jesus after a boning from a black man'' new, impressive, never heard something like that *thumbs up*

Now is Evil always wrong? if in the end it has better results than the so called good choice, is it evil then?

I massacre 1 million people and save 10 million, is it a good act or an evil one?

  • @Demandred02 @Demandred02 Neither an action cannot be judge good or evil until after it happen, for it is to the society which live after the event that has to take a decision on it. What can be judged, before the act, are the intend, the mean and the reasoning.

And only the intend is present in your in your example, so a moral decision cannot be reach.

  • Well Mr.Spencer, May I take that you are in fact ,an atheist? Just a question is all, since I'm a chirstian and I would like to debate with you since you seem like a man who is reasonable,it would be nice to debate with a person who can respond nice and calmly, for a change.

  • nice beard

  • The suit makes you look like a Geico caveman :)

  • paradise is all around us open your eyes

  • Plato's Republic

  • i think its funny people can't accept that in actuality life is pointless and their is no heaven the time we have on earth is our paradise. so make of it what you want.

  • May I ask what your random drink of the day is? ;)

  • SUIT AND BEARD FTW!

  • Pretty good arguement for deism at the end there.

  • If you're looking for your morality to come from a god, which one? Trying to argue which god is the "real" one is like herding cats. Tons of effort but ultimately you're wasting your time. Morality comes from the mob. Society decides what it considers appropriate and calls it moral. But different people have different standards. Look at Stalin's favorite topic: abortion. (LOL) For some it is absolutely abhorrent but for others it is acceptable. Both camps are right. For themselves.

  • 7:45 .Dude I was thinking of something just like this, but my example was Hitler not God. I thought you can't say something is evil or good. We of course think that what he did was bad, it's a fact. But they (the Nazis) didn't think it was inmoral, in fact the thought it was the right thing.

  • You can never truly have ethics without god being involved because our societies idea of what is right and wrong has come from the commandments in the bible. The only way to truly remove god from ethics would be to create a society in which god has never existed so that thoughts and ideas are not coloured by a christian societies morality.

  • "god told me to kill a bunch of people"

sounds like some terrorist meaning if they think god told them to its good but its not

and if nonchristans go to hell well if god loves everyone why wold he do that

  • sorry, you just lost my subscription Stalin

  • @Historyisthekey What he say wrong.

  • Look at you, you look like the bad guy from Realms of the Haunting!

  • u look like jesus

  • Does anyone else think if Spencer wears a military uniform, he would look like Fidel Castro?

  • @LittleElf10 I was actually thinking that if he let the beard grow a bit more he'd be able to pull off a rather good Rasputin impression. He's certainly got the hair style.

  • @LittleElf10 Nah i think he would look like Che Guevara.

  • @LittleElf10 more like che to me lol

  • "Religion is the opium of the people" Karl Marx

It keeps people from doing terrible, terrible damage to eachother... Or in some cases causes people to do terrible, terrible damage to eachother!

Nevertheless it is wise to follow most of the moral and ethics that religion teaches us, it is a great base for every human. I will however agree with you that we need to remove and add a certain amount of things to it, but removing god from it by force will cause more problems then it solves.

  • @HydratedProductions

I agree with you. Sometimes I hate religion and wants it to just dissapear.

But theres too many consequences if we remove religion.

If we removed religion then what would all the religious people do?

All what they believed in has been a lie. It's one of their values in life.

Try to imagine if any of us lost one of our values.. Would we accept that?

  • @cer4700 Well yeah, that is basically what I just stated.... But in a less "dramatic" way...

  • Stalin, stop doing this anti-christian videos, please.

Christians come and start insulting you and I dont like that.

    Stick to politics.

  • @crocve If Christians don't like it, they can stay away from the videos, I for one am happy to see this side of Stalin

  • People need to stop looking at religion as right or wrong, there is no right or wrong in religion. Religion is what you believe in. I consider myself a christian because i grew up as one, but i am not what i would call extremely devout. I get the good out of my religion such as the basic guidelines god gave us to live by that is the basis of our moral standards as people.

  • ZZ Top member.

  • This contradicts the post you made on facebook claiming all religion should be destroyed because of honour killings, why should religion be destroyed if it wasn't religion that caused the honour killings

  • You know instead of trying to remove god or the under god in the us pledge, we could be helping starving black children in africa. BUT NOOOOOO! Both theist and atheist always have to see whos right and whos more ignorant. this vid for example. instead of using science to disprove god or evolution how about we use that science to somehow fucking help destroy cacner. of course you faggots have to see who has to smaller dick.

    all yall god/science cock suckers.

  • @CommieToast Why aren't you over there right now helping them instead of commenting here?

  • @CommieToast I see you are doing your part by commenting instead of actually going over there and doing something.

  • @CommieToast derp

  • If God is not there then you get the death camps and horror of World War II. Or more simply, "Hitler had the right idea." Another way of thinking is who would you give ultimate authority. A man, a mob, a programed computer?

  • @Spriglief No one should have ultimate authority. We don't need any fucking ruler to watch over us. God is very unlikely to exist, and if he does exist, we should not worship him. He is undeserving of our worship.

  • @DeadlyVirus75 I guess that leaves you at the center of your own universe and so where does that leave me and everybody fucking else?

  • THE BEST MORALITY:COMMON SENSE!!!

  • @TheWoodstock2009

If you say all common sense in the world is the best then you also say that terrorist, dictators etc. have the best morality!

    Why?

Because what they stand for and what they believe in is the right thing for them. Their values, ideas etc. leads them to common sense which you might not think is common sense. But for them it is! people have different cultures and therefore different kinds of morality.

  • @TheWoodstock2009 Common sense is a myth.

  • Leonidas is that you "LOLS"

  • I dont think you can remove morals from God or at least from some kind of ultimate meaning.

  • I Totally Agree Beard..........Your so wise :)

But stalin is now slave to his own beard lololol

  • Great argument about omnipotence... I think I'm in love with you (or your beard)

  • the suit and the beard is a perfect mix XD

  • Ronjon is an epic troll.

Anyway, you explained that well Stalin. Would have loved it if you had mentioned Hobbes reasoning for why we have morals.

  • THE BEARD MUST STAY.

Unfortunately Stalin, most of your subscription base is moronic know-nothings that have never questioned a thing in their little lives.

  • its hard to argue Christianity cause most Christians you talk to don't know shit. Those commandments were put out for us to live a better life. He doesn't command it, its just steps to live a better life. So if we follow life is better.

  • and god will never MAKE you do anything. Its the devil who acts as god and would tell you to kill somebody or some moral wrong. YOU ARE WAY OVER THINKING THIS SHIT. Im probably going to get 2000000000000000 ppl saying im wrong

  • Comment removed

  • @lolPaperclip You should tell that to every atheist because they try to learn more about god than Christians just to prove them wrong. I just tell those atheists to get over their massive egos and get lives.... oh I forgot they can't because 95% of them are ugly lolz casting judgment is bad lol

  • @ronjon707 man i just love when people use blanket statements and then try and pretend there smart. also your saying all atheist or 95% are ugly that pretty much just ruined your entire argument by making you look like a complete idiot

  • @TMtitmouse man i just love when people use blanket statements and then I tell them....

    COOL STORY BRO!!!!!!

  • @ronjon707 my motto is dont over think shit and live life to the fullest. Im not one of those Christians who are like. GODDDDDDDDDDDDDD! But I believe in it and I hate when ppl try to make points about it, when they know nothing about it. Cuz the Bible is more than what you see. Also its hard for other Christians to understand god because they only hear from those crazy Christians and that completely turns em off.

  • @lolPaperclip I feel the same way. The crazy christians are way too much for me :D

  • @lolPaperclip

I will refrain from saying you're wrong, but I will say you're an imbecile that thinks too little to realize that an unexamined life, your life, is not worth living.

  • @TheDisillusionedApe cool story bro

  • @ronjon707

    Feels good, man.

  • @TheDisillusionedApe cool story bro. I never said I follow a religion kid

  • @ronjon707

    TL;DR

  • @ronjon707

    TL;DR

  • Comment removed

  • @ronjon707

    Obvious christfaggot is obvious.

  • @TheDisillusionedApe Who the fuck are you to say my life is not worth living. I live the way i want to. I just think there is so much more to life than being one of those people who sit there and do nothing and just over think about dumb shit. So grab a 6-Pack, get laid and enjoy life.

  • @lolPaperclip

I was quoting Socrates/Plato, you 'tard. "The unexamined life is not worth living."

If you had half a mind, perhaps you would of got the reference. Also, you show your stupidity once more by thinking only in absolutes. Life has plenty of time in it to be able to think existentially and exist enjoyably. Living a life of pure apathy and hedonism really isn't a life worth living, in my opinion.

  • @TheDisillusionedApe I don't think he gets the point of Relativism either :/

  • @lolPaperclip

By the way, I love philosophy, but I love women even more. As for that 6-pack, I prefer marijuana over alcohol.

  • @TheDisillusionedApe marijuana over alchohol!?

nonsense. Alcohol is the elixir of life. Marijuana just makes you tired and hungry

  • @TheDisillusionedApe neither is an examined life for that matter

examination ultimately leads to nihilism. We're just computers made out of meat that temporarily inhabit a little ball amongst countless billions of other little balls in an overwhelming vastness of nothing.

  • @lolPaperclip Yup! People tend to take terms like 'commandments' too literally in Religion especially Christianity. Most people become Atheists mainly because of arrogance, appearance, and the number one reason: cast blame on God or another person. A girl on youtube said she became an atheist because her grandma died and God didn't save her when she prayed hard. It must have been hard for her but that doesn't mean it is god's fault. People die......

  • The beard... must stay...

  • An imorale act is one where u make somone do something they otherwise would not do such as dying or having sex wit that is my morale code but i agree its dociety as a whole that decides whats right

  • God was created in man's image. Morality is dictated by society. For the good of the whole. Certain things, like murder, are easy to see why society is better off without. I don't need a god to tell me that. And morality is mutable. Some cultures have different values. Things they see as moral, we see otherwise. Who's right? Both sides are. They're right for their own culture. It's only when those cultures meet that a debate over who's right begins. "God says so!" is a weak argument.

  • When are you going to dedicate a CoffeHouse video for Commrade Tito?

  • That is true. We do not need to worship a god or gods to base our moralities to.

But even with this knowledge, I worship my gods by my own choice and see all religions as equals, even atheists. As Gandhi said, God has no religion.

  • @DarkArtistKaiser atheism is not a religon it is a lack of religon A-- Theist meaning lack of or no religon

  • @TMtitmouse cool story bro

  • @TMtitmouse Well, it literately means "without god" or "without a belief in a god", but a person is usually without a religion also in that case.

  • @TMtitmouse

Someone told me, a atheist, told me atheism is the lack of belief in a higher power. Yet atheism puts faith into science, faith is a key component of religion. Religion is not restricted to the belief of a higher power. We see it in our own civilization. Communism, Capitalism, all follow their own beliefs.

Feel free to debate, but if you look into and think about it, you will see for yourself. We are bound to faith.

  • nice beard

  • i anyone else able to play snake on the video??

  • @allanbluman nein

  • That is unless you ascribe to the various forms of moral relativism, which are hardly useful and certainly more controversial.

  • Think about why things are right or wrong. It's solely based on external perception; if only one person existed, then there would be no moral value to any of their actions. The only source of external perception that can produce "correct" ethical guidelines MUST be omniscient, because without total knowledge of everything there remains a margin of error. That is unacceptable in ethics because a margin of error leaves room for interpretation into an absolute issue.

  • rockin the drink

  • Lovin the new setup for this shows Stalin

  • You Gotta put the soviet flag behind you when you do this

  • Removing god from morality is like taking away weapons from war

  • If anyone thinks satlin looks unprofessional with the beard, thumbs up please

  • @Metzky94 faggot he looks awesome with the beard

  • oh stepin it up, Standard def to high def you be movin up

  • je detest i dont want this

  • dude you don't look professional with that beard

  • Bravo!Bravo!

  • stalin look at the Wendy Wright debat with richard dawkins. he gives perfict examples. she said at one point she had a friend with a disabled girl who couldnt do anything and she said that was a debate FOR a loving god. what kinda god would do that to a girl just to test the perants strength is beond me. and also its thunderstorimg prity bad around where i am now. its kinda freeky debating agents god while right next to my window thier is like a thunderstorm going on.... is that irony or what?

  • jesus in a suit lol

  • you wear the beard well nearly as good as paul mccartney

  • You remind me of a lion >_>

  • dont loose the beard. best advice i can give you is: cut hair grow beard !

  • you look like karl marx excelent vid stalin

  • I am an Athiest, and to this day refuse to say "Under God" in the American pledge of alligience.

  • @TheReveiw

why if you are a athiest it shouldnt matter what you say you should respect your country because ot was founded around christanity what you said is just stupidy wether your a chrtistian or athiest or muslim you should respect the country you live in and its beliefs

  • @dthac1 Very excellent points, except for the fact that the U.S.A was not founded around Christian beliefs. Many of the founding fathers were deists and humanists, and the majority of the founding fathers wanted a secular government. Also, the "under God" in the pledge wasn't added until the late 1940s because people were afraid of the "heathen Communists". The U.S was founded for seperation of Church and State, so why should that statement be in the Pledge?

  • @MrSmailbegovic Well, the U.S Constitution is also based on immigration and 'one' particular grammar fuck-up that I always find amusing to me.

  • @MrSmailbegovic

i was stating to the guy that christanity just happens to be a large part of this country and wether our founding fathers were christains or not when it came down to it more people wanted to be so called christains

  • @dthac1 Yeah..... America is not Christian. So other than being completely wrong, you have also forgotten for one that most of the Founding Fathers were Deists and not Christians. Also, the pledge of Allegiance was not made by them. America was not founded around Christianity at all... Just because your priest or your narrow minded parents say it doesn't make it true. Although, I do think you should respect your country.

  • @dthac1 no the country was founded around christanity if it was not then why put im god we trust on anything its an important part of the united states why does the president swear with his hand on the bible christanity is what this country was founded around but also free religion so its anybodys choice to be christian athiest muslim this country apprently is apprently really involved in christanity

  • i don't know man.....god gives us free will and allows us to what we want......life liberty and the pursuit of happiness......sorry for quoteing the constitution but the saying still applys to what we are talking about

  • @MrRedbrood - you're opening up another debate here, free will vs determinism. I'm a determinism so obviously I don't really agree with the free will thing, life liberty is cool but again I don't see where god comes into it

  • @TheUnillogical to each his own.......but i belive that god made us soo that we could have hapiness and gave us free will so that we could have the choice of going back to him....if we are good people and belive in his teachings

  • We dont need God to have ethic or moral

  • Elegant suit, Herr Stalin.

  • first of all I want to know who said some divine being or god helped make our ethics and morals that led to this?

  • I wanna make baby beards with that beard... wow, even i thought that was creepy. Good video, very deep and makes me think.

  • shave it

  • "Removing God from morality" - as if he was ever there in the first place. Great video as always, there's always some pleasure in watching a video where someone agrees with you, even if that person looks like a twat because of his beard.

  • @TheUnillogical Why does "God" have to be a 'he'? Why not a 'she' or 'it' ?

    Food for thought. :D

  • @scrotos101 it says he in the bible. it says he made man into his own look.

  • @TonPappa What do you mean by "his own look?" Is it like HE made 'man', took off the leash( in a sense), and let us loose to frolick across the land? That's what I am interpretating, am I right so far?

  • @scrotos101 in the bible it says god made man in his own image. interpit that all you want.

  • @scrotos101 - lol. I think asking the gender of an imaginary being while a fair question isn't really an important one.
