While im playing it kinda seems like there is some slomo-effect. It slows down for one or two seconds and then suddenly it speeds up again. Its not playable in that way.

Is there anyone who has an advice?

GS is the Slowest, than GT, GTS and than the fastest GTX...after GTX you can sometimes bye ULTRA graphikcards...they are not much better but you have to pay much more.

It might be, but I would definitely not turn everything up full-bore.

I have an 8600GT, and it all but choked with everything on high. Then again, I was running it on a gummed-up XP install. I never got the chance to run it on a clean install.
