Even partially eaten, that is much heavier than the "...13 men couldn't pull..." deer that the Tiger fans point to about a Tiger pulling. It simply looked like a large deer not a Gaur. Also, the quite young and thin lion recently killed it as it is a little winded AND the weather is much hotter (at least in terms of being exposed to direct sunlight) for the lion and he is more drained due to that as well. No comparison in Lion annd Tiegr Strrength...Lion is much stronger.

Just so you know, the cape buffalo weighs anywhere from 425-900kg. Judging by the look of it, its a female, which are roughly 10% smaller than males. I'm no expert, but I have seen them less than 10 feet from me. I would estimate that one to be at least 600kg. Good luck killing one, then dragging it as far as the lion does. Also, the grass wouldn't reduce friction as much as it would add to it. Go to Africa sometime muscle head. Learn something about what real strength is.

Although, typically, not easy a male lion can definitely take down a Buffalo. Somewhat rare, but, a lioness can as well. Usually as a pride regarding a lioness though. A Buffalo is formidable.

When you lift something straight up you work directly AGAINST gravity. when you pull something sideways, you are not working against gravity, you are tilting the weight sideways. if the buffalo weights 400 kg, the realistic weight would be 200 kg. and it rests on grass, so friction will be slightly reduced, we can expect some 160 kg of resistance when dragging that buffalo. (I also would like to mention that i have closed the captains of crush number 3.5 from ironmind, that'll help gripping legs
