  • simplex 9219 horn with serious problems!

  • simplex 9219 horn

  • Cut to blooper clips and get outa there!!!!

  • Alarm starts at 0:01

  • KRON A TRAINWRECK THEN, A TITANIC NOW!

  • omg #LOL

  • why are they calling it a fire drill when they do not know if it's real or a drill ...muppets

  • Ladies and Gentlmen the building is one fire and i have a story to tell of why i had to get carried out on a stretcher because i ignored a fire alarm. and why i sat there when the room is on fire and i had to be dragged out by the fire department.

  • That klaxon sounds like it's having serious problems. Or it's old as dirt.

  • Comment removed

  • @twotailedavenger It's actually not a klaxon. It's a device similar to a car horn. While a klaxon is motor-driven, these horns use an electromagnet to pull a strip of metal up and down.

  • y wasn't the strobe flashing

  • It was coverd by something.

  • Sounds like a Simplex 4903

  • does sound like 1

  • @scoreboardE

yep, a 9219(but with some SERIOUS power issues)

  • whenever the fire alarms go off during news they all laugh and make jokes

  • Very funny!!

  • Seems like the video's down...

  • i had a fire drill during my radio cast,

    not as exciting but still

  • lmao 1:53 to 2:04

  • was it a fire??

  • I think that was the alarm to tell all the news reporters at kron to abandon ship. The station is going down.

I have watch Gary twice in the last year both times he has complained about the budget cuts at the station. He went on for 30 mins on how there was no hair spray in the dressing room.

  • When is NBC finally, at long last, going to do what it was supposed to do for 50 years and buy this station????????? I grew up watching KRON (and damn Pam Moore is still fine!!!! after all these years!!!) They can get it for a song now and keep the San Jose complex operational for the Telemundo side.

  • go die.

  • they are stupid. they are supposed to be telling the news but they have to talk about the alkarm

  • They're trying to be funny. It's failing pretty badly but they're trying.

  • now that is funny

and they just love to give

you the news on this channel.

i guess that is what they call soft news.

  • it was doing march time

  • I think that fire alarm is doing March Time by panel.

  • this ought to be shown on some "bloopers"-type show

  • it was! ironicly on NBC 11 haa!

  • Is Pam Moore a New Yorker, whats with the accent.

  • Pam Moore is originally from Detroit, Michigan

  • huh....considering that accent. very unique

  • Don't you just love how they really don't value their own lives?

  • It's shocking init? Their joking when they should get the fuck out of it.

  • It was not sarcasm.

I went to the location where the historic KRON TV building once stood.

    In its place, a McDonalds.

Today I bought a hamburger, fries and a Coca Cola.

I had ordered a Pepsi Cola mainly because Pepsi-Cola hits the spot, 12 full ounces, that's a lot.

Twice as much for a nickel too, Pepsi-Cola is the Drink for you!

But they didn't have any Pepsi for me or you, they were out, so I had to order a Coca Cola.

  • Well, if the building did burn down, I can't find a news article about it, and if the building did burn down, it must have switched to another building because on Wikipedia, not only does it not mention the fire, but it also said that it was still around in January 2006 in a Wikipedia article.

  • The fire burned down the studio.

Thus ending KRON-TV Channel 4 braodcasting in San Francisco.

A McDonalds Hamburger stand now occupies the spot where KRON-TV once stood in San Francisco.

  • Uh, no, because it was a false drill and it never burnt down, unless i was sarcasm, then it was really bad sarcasm.

  • This is one heck of a clip! Must have been post-NBC.

  • What kind of accents do these people have???

  • Um a Damn strong bay area one, lol

you thought that was bad, hear Jan Wahl on My Kron 4 Weekends

  • Fire alarms do malfunction.

  • That does happen quit a bit

  • BRAVO! Was there really a fire?

  • it was actually a just a problem with one of the fire things in the janitors closet

  • No, there wasn't a fire, and the building still stands. The alarm malfunctioned, and no one had the key to disable it. I was there when it happened. The people on the set had no way of knowing whether it was a false alarm or a real fire. They were trying not to show it, but they actually did fear for their safety.

  • slightly evident at 2:25, "thankyou, for risking your life" lol

that's poor, isn't it - there should be a safeguard in place should this happen.

maybe, if the alarm goes off, the channel should display a transmission issue splash until it's reset.

or a system which pulls the most recent headline videos from the media machine and displays them automatically if the alarm is triggered.

but the newscasters shoudn't feel the urge to stay in front of the camera simply because the show is live.

  • farking hilarious
