Great video.  i grew up in ny in the 90s. this guys show was always the shit. I remember leaving a show of his at Tramps without my shirt or a shoe. I didn't care. oh man.. i have seen this band live and enjoyed it a lot.. but i think this performance is just annoying.. it reminds me of artists that once had a great moment of relevance a period filed with rage and vibrant energy.. now they past 40 and see themselves playing a promo slot on a french daytime chatshow and suddenly realise that he's playing the corporate game in order to pay for his mortgage etc.. suddenly the angry teenager in him wakes up and he starts disrupting and disrespecting his host

@fmalitz That is a matter of opinion, Frank, to me this is a great raw performance, seems you forgot the word "explosion" in their name here;) Maybe you prefer a more polished or cultivated appearance but there's also The Who, Iggy Pop & the Stooges, old Stones.. To me JSBX are mainly a rock & roll band, who cares about the title. Nights in White Satin by The Moody Blues isn't blues either.

The obvious question is who determines what's correct so you make a valid point. We all started out in the garage but didn't go public screamimng "The Blues are Number One" with no clue as to what the blues represent or their actual structure. As a working blues player in Chicago, I am not offended by anyone's music but I am certainly annoyed at this crap. 1) There's no blues here at all. 2) His singing and playing is the equivalent of a teen-age garage band. This is fucking awesome. They were such a great live band. It was never fully realized in the studio but that's alright. My best club experience was them in Tampa. Man they were fucked up backstage. Judah got some high gear action from my friend. There's a new band from New York called The Ghost Tongue that has this kind of power. Check them out live or on myspace.
