i dont blame him for wanting the jacket and helmet off. my crash (july 29th) it was like 95 degrees outside. everybody was telling me not to move (which i shouldnt have as I am certified in first aid/cpr/lifeguarding/etc) I took all my gear off. it was too hot and uncomfortable to be in pain and sweaty

Even the paramedics will often leave the helme. They will take you for an X Ray on your spinal column before even doing this, unless they're pretty sure ther's no damage or the helmet is causing another problem.
