Pues Olympus E-620 es mejor unico que no tiene vidio,pero caracteristicas son mejores y mas sencio de manejar.Lo recomiendo .Y precio de KIT casi mismo ademas tiene regalo empuñadura.
well you should get a more simple camera first just to get the feeling of taking pictures , and when you learn the basics , take this one (d5000) its a very good camera for beginners with a helpfull menu.
when the time comes to take your camera , it dosent matter if its nikon,canon, or pentax. Just go to the shop and take them in your hands,and you will know then which one you are going to take.
Remeber , take a simple and cheap camera first ....... slow steps ; )

not a good idea, this is about 250 USD more than the d3000, but d5000 is much more worth it.
