you are using a behringer fcb1010, for controlling maxforlive, and ableton live.. I am using a similar set in macintosh, but ableton recognises me the pgmout/pgmin MIDI messages of the behringer controller, as pitchbend parameters.. do you have a max standalone patch, to turn pgmin/out midi into notes or ctlout and that might work for most of situations (if you have one you could share it), or can you recommend some sort of editor to load two different templates for the controller?
