  • pretty good video considering the wind condition and all. It might not be a bad Idea to do some editing to your videos. Just sayin'.

  • @mikel465

These are a bit older, so editing wasn't really something I did, if it truly wasn't needed.

  • extension to wachusett should open in 2012. re-filming lets us see any changes to the area. i like your pronunciation of their name. EE dover buzz very entertaining. yes it is. filming and breezes are hard to mix. many stores were busier preinternet. or as we say 'man powered elevator'. today the limit is 15 minutes.

  • @Balarick

This was the day I found how much wind hurts the audio quality, and why on windy days, I tape over the mic and speakers. Things get muffled, but it takes about 40MPH winds to make audio difficult again.

For those with lots of videos, and good standing, there is no time limit, as you might've noticed in the 1-Hour, 20-Minute Gauntlet at the Natick Collection. The 1K Video Special runs almost 45 minutes. You'll see that soon.

  • OMG!!! I can't believe how nice Fitchburg is now!! Boy did they clean that city up good, many parts of this video back in the 90's was so different. It use to be a dump and a dangerous place to be. I grew up in Leominster but live in Cali now. Nice video

  • Hate to tell you, but the asthetics are the only improvements Fitchburg has had. It's real bad now, such as a library only open 3 days a week, no streetlights (except "high crime" areas, which should be the entire city), vacant downtown (the G.E. plant is a very nice office park now, buildings fixed up, you'd NEVER think it was the original plant in sopts), and a scant Police/Fire Department. I'm sure after the recession, it'll do a near 180. Right now, it's still Crimeburg. :(

  • @georgef551 "after the recession '.. hehe, I wont hold my breath on that one. The city does indeed look a lot better than it did in the 90's.

The G.E plant.... if I remember correctly, was that the old abandoned buildings behind the tracks you had to cross a little bridge over the river to get to? That place has been renovated?? wow, I'd like to see what it looks like now.

  • That's the place. The section nearest that bridge and bowling alley is completely redone, alomst looks like a new building. The middle part, and small buildings behind it, don't look any different, except they are in use as well. Heh, I rode the elevator in the 4-story part (as well as the newly redone part). The 4-story one is up.

Probably couldn't care, but if you search for "otis putnam", it's the top video in the list (1930's Otis...), you can watch me ride the 4-story fun-fest. :)

  • EXACTLY! Never say never. Heck, there might be a beautiful caged elevator nearby at whatever milestone is next, record some crap vids, then hit the mileston with a caged elevator! That's a little too uptopic, isn't it? Dare to dream.

    Thanks for the congrats, too.
