French accent has been voted the most understandable foreign accent by a panel of very wise and independant judges.
These judges were all from France. Additionally, they were all French dairy farmers, knowing only two things: how to milk French cows and how to talk to them using the French language.
Of course they were from France, where else do you expect to find very wise and independant people? France holds the best minds of the world, but we still have to pretend we're modests in order not to upset our inferiors neighbors. :-)
