I used Ulead Video Studio 11+. If you're wondering about the how I made laserball, I just modified the lens-flare effect that comes with the program to look more like a ball of light and just moved it around the screen in accordance with the action. Even basic effects like lens-flare can be used for more advanced effects. I use this technique for different things in my other videos, too, such as effects for casting spells.
