There is no hope for these kids,if they can't learn the regular way it should not be the schools problem, these kids will never be able to go to college or ever have a real job.
@59jjflash I do not appreciate your comment.I had LD. I passed my GED I have had the same job for 20 years making 50K a year,I drive a car.So excuse me for living,I hate ignorant people like you
Two points I have against their program. 1. They are an "institution" in an age where inclusion is becoming the primary goal. 2. The biggest one: the way she TALKS to those kids! The kids she's with are clearly 9 or 10 years old. I don't care if they have a learning disability, they should NOT be talked to like they're BABIES. That's talking them down and taking away that "hope that doesn't end". "He's a friIEND" Somebody slap her.
Yeah, hope never dies, if and only if you rich and can afford special schools, and tutors, and learning aids. If you are not rich, sorry about your luck.
I kept asking to drop out of school to get a job, but they wouldn't listen to me, and I was trapped because I was an LD. I'm really average, but I'm supposed to be above bc of my IQ. It's frickin' ridiculous. Of course, anyone can improve at anything and basic life enjoyment and functioning skills should be enhanced, such as reading and basic math. I would have laughed at her and her job. Community College is to better the community. Doesn't she know that?
For learning disability kids, If you need hope, just ignore people who make fun of you. Then you are fine. Once you see them laughing, it is their own problem which is from devil spirit. You're a brave angel!!!
Try considering that special needs are truly needed any kind of supports will make them feel like 'We so want to learn so many things' or 'We so want to help for the world we have lived so far'. I believe a lot of special ED teachers have been striving to give special needs 'so much feeling' like they can do what they are wishing. Hopefully they would be like friends for special needs as well so they can feel happy with living in this world.
They are not supposed to be lazy or something. ::(
I have stroved to make myself so far as 'a person filled with the joy of knowing so many things and feeling so many new things that he or she has never run into.' Always this sort of 'education video' is so important to give so many hopes to all people who are having so many hard lives. Yes to open up for what they want.
I was in special ed class and i have a special ed diploma , wonts i got out of school i was stuck at home doing nothing playing the computer all day know iam tring to get my ged. special ed is a wasit of time you end up at home with no job and money.
my parents was also told i had autism for a there but they found out i was mostly shy and could stay the words i wanted so the did the speech theropy and i struggled with reading and writing and math in school but thanks to a few teachers that took me a side and the resorce teachers i graduated in the top 20 of my class in 2004 and i am now writer a poet for God so i know resorce classes help a lot
WOW,I'm LD,not bad,but it's there,it just I'm a lil bad at spelling,but I'm working on that.Yes,it was hard in school,not the work,the kids.Always making fun of people with this,it's a shame.You showed me hope.Thanks!

Fine,I have a learning disability and maybe I should have been aborted and have no right
to get married and have a family.A reading specialist told me to give up on myself.
Why don't one of you come and take my life
since I have no rights.

I went to a special school for kids with LD
(1973-1978) and was told to give up on my self after the school told my parents
I would be helped. Then I was told I am there because I could not be helped.
I went to community college and took a
reading improvement courese and when
the instructor found out I had LD. She told
me to give up on myself, I was wasting her time and mine. Was that right?
