@pavan789567 check on the lfsmods website, when you download the car it usually tells you which patches you need to get the car to work.

@KingQTR999 it sounds like word is defaulted to open that file.

Watch the video again and follow step by step. When you download the mod, it will be in a zip, you want to unzip it, then drag the files into the correct folder.

@thekillionare1 what do you mean? like is the car a right hand drive? if so you can change that somewhere in settings. not sure where. if you are talking about the car being messed up, you may want to check patches. where did you DL the car? do you have a link?

Great vid but I'm trying to put a nissan mod in and I'm assuming the "dds" data of the mod goes into the "dds" folder under "data" in the lfs folder. But theres a "vob" folder and I have no idea where that data goes. Also does this work on the demo?

@heterosapien69 inside the vob folder there shoul be a .vob file, this is the model of the car, it needs to go into the data\veh folder.

Theoretically yes is should work in the demo.

@devinbmx16 you are probably seeing the .vob files. you need some kind of modeler to edit those. I'm not really sure what you need to be able to view them.

@MrStyu76 to do the backup? sure, i only zip the files so that they take up less room. Theoretically you wouldn't need to backup your folders at all, but if the mod doesnt work, you are screwed.

@quentingravel you're not going to the right folder, try doing a search for uf.vob

you should be able to find that, that is the model file for the UF, if you go up a few directories you will be in the root LFS folder.

For example if i have the integra as my FXO and hop on an online game, no one will see that i have an integra, but every one that uses the FXO in the race i will see an integra. hope i made sense.

hey man, i got a little problem, no matter what car i download, when i replace it, i can see the old car and the new one, like overlapping each other, its kinda weird, any suggestions?

can you post a screen shot somewhere? my first guess would be the wrong patch, usually that fixes 90% of the problems. my next guess would be that the downloaded car is being installed wrong or maybe the modder that made the car missed a file somewhere. 1st thing to try is to make sure you are AT LEAST Z10, check with the car modder to see which patch he says the car will work for. if you are still getting crap results restore from the backup or do a clean install of the game and try another car

you have the wrong patch. When you download a car, a lot of times the notes will say "For z15 and above." I think the latest patch right now is z28. SO go google for latest lfs patch, install it, then try re-installing your car.

remember lfs . net will always keep you up to date which patch is the most current, right now it looks like it is patch Z28.

Three ways to get Patch Z28 :

1) AUTO UPDATER - If you already have version V, W, X, Y or Z :

- Click on "Multiplayer" then "List of Hosts" in LFS and choose a download mirror.

2) MANUAL PATCH.

- You can run the patch installer from its download location or from your LFS folder.

the z patch should be an EXE file, put that in the root of your LFS folder, and run it, start the game and down at the bottom you will see what patch you are on. For the cars................try watching my other vid /watch?v=JmzFZ6FUDms

it is nothing to do with your video card, you have the wrong patch. When you download a car many times the creator of the car will specify what patch you need to use, many will say "patch z10 or above" or "patch z13 or better" MAKE SURE you are patched to Z15 or that latest Z patch, the link for Z15 is in the side bar, IF you patch to Z15, and still have issues, re-install LFS and patch to Z15, then install the car. good luck

are you on patch Z? if you are download patch Z15 the link is in the video description. If you are not on patch Z let the auto updater in LFS get you to patch Z, then download the Z to Z15 patch. Lauch LFS again and see how the cars look.
