  • the version of king king i think it is a better song than this one of papa was a rolling stone it was made in the year 1973 and produced by dave watson . it is on the lp funky reggae from king kong .

  • This song was written by Motown songwriters Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong. It was first recorded by The Undisputed Truth in 1971. The Temptations recorded it in 1972 and it was their last big hit.
