The strips can be run from a 12 volt power supply. Some users use 8 1.5 volt batteries in series (+ to -) Each package comes with a wire that can be used to connect the controller to a 12 volt source.
@YoungMasterQ you can put in anywhere, it comes with power adapters for both, but im not sure if you will have to hard wire them to one of the 12v leads in your dodge.

@dirrnet66 This looks good. Can you cut the strips to fit the size you want? Like I need 2 about 8 inch strips but I can't find any where that sells that size.
@oROMINEo Yes, they can be cut every 3 LEDs or about each 3 inches. Contact us at EagleLight phone number at top of site page, and we will help you with specifics. Our shortest strip is 18 inches but you can cut one to 2 9 inch lengths for your application if that works. Each controller has two connections so you can use one controller to light each 9 inch strip. Call or email if you need more support.
hey i got this product but with just wires and the strip. im trying to install this onto my mini bike and i need help on wiring them together to make different colors as well as wiring them to a toggle on/off switch. please if you could help me out
@andrei91andrej The product shown is a multi color product and needs a controller. It can be run off of a 12 volt power supply. For additional parts check out eaglelight.
can you connect another 18' led lights and do the same colors light up all together. not all the colors together but all the blues, than all the red etc.?
now if i installed this in my car, im thinking about putting it on my front bumber, but would the remote be able to change the colors if im sitting inside the car? jsut want to check before i order this and it doesnt work...
Are you fucking retarded? Unless you figure out a way to walk around with your shoes plugged into the wall. By all means, go and purchase 30ft of extension cords and see how far you get walking around.
We have many customers that use these for lighting PCs using the 12VDC source as well as behind flat screens. Other uses include behind head boards, in bar shelves to light bottles and glasses and under tables to light up the table cloths.
The package includes an adapter that can be connected to a 12VDC battery source, this can include a series of 8 1.5 VDC batteries or a series of 2 x 6VDC batteries. The positive goes to the tip of the adapter that goes to the controller. That is the marked wire on the connector.
can i ask i have recently bought some strip lighting with a simple 12v AC power supply and the leds are constantly flickering. Any ideas why? do they have to run off DC power?
The controller is run on 12V DC. We use 3 amp and 12 amp 12VDC power supplies that run on 120VAC. We use the 3 amp for up to 16 feet and the 6 amp for up to 50 feet. We have not tried a 12V AC supply.
@djshu : the controller runs on 12VDC so you can use 1.5v batteries if configured to output 12VDC with sufficient amps for the number of strips you are using.
how can i use this to make a LED light suit just like in Step Up 3D ?
