  • Truly informative, and I loath ticks. Wish they did more documentaries of them. Exactly how many SPECIES of ticks are there recorded on Earth?

  • ugly tick

  • OMG TICK ANUS

  • freat movies

  • That horror movie TICKS about ticks the size of your hand really creeped me out! :o

  • forgot to put this in my other comment, but out of all the ticks i have been bit by in Germany, Georgia, and Ireland i have never once gotten any type of diesease fortunantly

  • @JoshTehVideoMaker It depends on when and how you remove it. If it stays for 2 days, you are more likley to get lime. But if it is removed in some hours, you might just survive. If you try to do it with your fingers, you will force its bodyflouids into your bloodstream, making you less likely to survive the bloodthirsty attack. I have never got any diseases from ticks, and me and me boyscouts are in the woods frenquently.

  • I fucking hate ticks, they are neat to look at but it's fucking annoying when i go walking in the woods and slip into some leaves and all of a sudden i am covered with 20+ tiny ticks

  • the one at @3:11 i almost pooped my self

  • 2:35 you have a micrograph of a tick capitulum. How did you fix and mount that specimen and what type of microscope did you use. My ticks are over clearing...

  • I think if you dropped ME into 190 proof rum I'd die...

At least I'd die happy, though.

Great vids, man! Keep it up!

  • Difficult thing to learn about considering how gross ticks are. Thanks for the video, I wasn't bored for a moment. Keep up your good work.

  • i can feel one crawl on me

im going to go check myself now

  • Awesome videos, keep it up :D

  • lol your 'blood meal' was gratuitous and awesome. Thanks!

  • Man, at least you got it wasted before it died.

  • 4:13 close up lol

  • 3:36

I am sorry mrs tick, your husband drowned in alcohol. . .

    Was it tragic?

Well. . . He got out twice to piss. . .

  • Subcribed to you man, all your videos are interesting, fun and informative!

  • You really deserve your own show, very informative and funny

  • pierdolony kleszcz

  • you make learning fun. I never thought i would say that..

  • Ha, gross... Never did I have the desire to stare at a tick's anus wonder "what's that spot on it's belly for?" - nicely done.

  • ewwwwww

pretty cool video, much learned was there

  • Very interesting!

  • got one in my penis i needed to remove my whole penis...shame

  • Sometimes they look like spiders :P

  • Love this one! On par with Rossellini's Green Porno.

  • thumbs up if u think aloo is weird..... lol

  • fucking hate them.

  • @88pie88 I actually found one that bit me, then killed it and screamed bastard. Lol.

  • Had one of these on the back of my knee so i pulled it out and crushed it in a post'it note.

  • It's funny, I live in the country (sorta) and ticks bit me all the time. Yet when I go to school and we went on some field trip and they told us about ticks, all these kids from city's were all scared for their lives. Ticks rarely give you lime disease, it's only if you agitate them usually.

  • >:( damn thing bit me yesterday i just hope it wasn't INFECTED

  • i microwaved a tick once and it popped around like a pop corn for a bit then explodes yay me

  • YES BITE THAT HARDER, TEAR IT SEXUALLY!

  • Very informative video, I thought I knew more than I did about ticks. But I always kew what I felt was important about them, I don't enjoy having them on me.

  • You let those things crawl on you? Don't they... Uhhh... Have lime disease?

  • i actually am really glad you exsist

  • Oh God I HATE ticks, when I get tick bites they itch for YEARS "literally" and they swell up and stuff.

I'd rather get bit by 100 mosquitoes and or fleas than one tick.

I'm so glad you killed it like that. I hope it suffered.

Hell actually I don't really care about mosquitoes, they never really bother me, especially if there is another person near me. And their bites last about a minute or less. But ticks man, God, I have had nightmares about those damn things.

  • Brilliant images, fascinating information. I have learned to love the tick! Long may he suck human and animal blood - anybody's except mine :o)

  • he should have his own show. i mean it did look a little funny but hes good at making examples about creatures..keep up the good work

  • EXCELLENT!!

  • my skin kept crawling when I watched this

  • one of your best dude haha!

  • Great vid. I have always been scared of those little creatures. I was bitten by it once and successfull removed it without any follow-up effects.

  • i found a tick be hind my neck and squished it. it was moving so i pulled out a cactus needle and shoved it up its anus

  • Wow this is really cool. This is just as good as anything on the Discovery Channel.

  • I HATE TICKS!!! and what i now say is true

i had one on my belly, i picked him with my nails off my belly

put him between my thumbnail and my fingernail and cut him in two pieces!!!

    XD painful dead

  • Very informative video with quality shots of this tiny critter. Good work on the easy-to-understand explanation of the physiologies as well.

Btw, just curious, in you tag, are those the words for "tick" in different languages?

  • @PhylumStats yes!

  • @memutic LOLOLOL I speak 5 languages so the language that's funny is Hebrew the word for it is also used in slang for a really annoying tag along type of a person.... So it caught me off guard... The word transliterated is Kur'TziYah

  • @PhylumStats He even included the Greek word, "τσιμπούρι" ahahaha, cool :p

  • These educational videos are great! keep making them please!

  • Thank you so much! I've been trying to find a way of getting rid of these...we have quite an infestation here at home. Knowing their physiology helps me to try and formulate my future plan of action.

    Once again, thank you!

Ah, but where to start? The world of insects and arachnids is insanely diverse!

  • Start with your own backyard! Take some videos of whatever bugs are in your neighborhood, post 'em, and I'll try to help you ID them.

  • @memutic ya i found a wolf spider in my backyard.my cat and the spider were fighting!
