  • Listening to it for third time, its comes from the soul man, you're a great musician with a good sense of phrasing and sound :)

  • great song!!!bravoo!!do you have any tabs or sheets for this song??it would be nice to learn it.

  • damn good, very clean and smooth

  • how do you write something like that

  • all the weird videos of good players were uploaded in 06 and shit :p

  • it sounds like a classical guitar .......

  • good skills but this is errectionless music

  • beautiful!!

  • Most of this can be played on a guitar :P

  • That is an ugly ass instrument

  • nice ^^

  • for solo very nice, but i would have liked if you would have made some tabs in backround of a second record, i love bass but for me are just playing scales up and down without backround a bit boring :D

  • omg!!!! AMAZING ND SMOOTH!

  • Dropping guitar to learn bass for a while now! Beautiful song, it's amazing!

  • What a fucking bass is that :D

  • increible, hermoso, dulce.... :D

  • thats not a real bass its practically a guitar and dont try and turn this into a big gay debate coz i dont care nice playen tho

  • @elmospenis It is a bass...

  • @elmospenis that is definitely a bass, it is bass clef and an octave lower than guitar standards

  • @elmospenis

"thats not a real bass its practically a guitar"

It's simply a six string bass. I have the exact same model (well, maybe a bit older).

  • Please dont hate!!!! This guy is from my hood and where I come from there are lots of good bass players but this GUY is UNIQUE!!!!!! Keep up the good job J-B

  • for a streamer it looks a lot like a warwock rockbass, well at least the body does :P

  • man this great man,a tonal journey, man i get sick and tired of the slap and pluck, awesome to know theres another side to the bass guitar

  • i keep coming back to this.. its so beautiful and well played.

  • wtf?! look at 1:44 min! i was impressed how he can play but then....

  • @mediafar haha, he flipped us all off XD

  • Dipiazza fan? Sounds great.

  • This song is unbelieveable... it's truly an inspiration for me. Thanks, really, you've made me feel like I can play like a whole new world of things in my bass. Thanks once again.

  • awesome! I'm pretty jealous you can play that well. haha

  • Beautiful.

  • Jesus, that neck is huge!

    That's what she said!

    LOL

  • that's the reason i choose bass and no guitar, because you can do such a beatiful and harmonic sound, a relaxing symphony choose improvising, relax your nerves, no fucking blow heads with a fast solo in the guitar, in the bass you can close your an "fell" it, that the why i choose bass, you can "fell" the sounds

  • @HeadShootingMaster

you can play the acoustic guitar if you want, so what's the matter?

and what the hell mean "you can "fell" the sounds"???

  • @HeadShootingMaster Head Shooting Master needs to relax too sometimes.

  • @HeadShootingMaster ever heard of jazz guitar ? listen to joe pass or grant green if this doenstn relax..

  • @HeadShootingMaster

You can do that with the guitar . You know , before rock there was jazz. And jazz musicians played with guitars the same thing that you can " fell " with your bass.

  • @HeadShootingMaster you can play a guitar with your fingers and it will not sound like literal shit, also you will not look like a fucking faggot with no friends

  • @moceanu

From this statement alone you have proven that not only do your musical opinions mean absolutely zero. (because you obviously have no idea what the fuck it is you're talking about) You have also proven that you have been blessed with a truly magical ass. If this is what is sounds like when you take a shit then I'm fuckin jealous my man. You must chill with unicorns and leprechauns I bet. LUCKY!!!

  • @HeadShootingMaster I agree but on the other hand, how could you just say "playing fast solos is a bad thing" or whatever? I mean, maybe I wanna blow my head away, maybe that rhytm makes me feel better. Maybe I'm not a loser lover, so I'm choosing to play fast guitar solos. I mean, you can't just say "feeling depressive is better than feeling full of energy. So you must play emotional things." There is no such an absurd thing. Nobody has to be in the same mood. It's a great playing though!

  • @HeadShootingMaster guys relax about this comment xD, i wrote when i choose start playing and i read it now and its like "i fucked it up :B"

  • @HeadShootingMaster hahahahahaha, its okay, with the both instruments u can do that, if u dont think so , check some, igor presnyakov videos :)

  • @HeadShootingMaster Thats what acoustic guitar is for for electric is for everything else you can still be beautiful on any string instrument, But thatsb just my oppinion

  • @HeadShootingMaster

thats depend of how did you play the guitar. you can play exactly like this and dont lose de felling sounds.

    Anyway this is really beautiful.

    Sorry, my english its bad.

  • @RockBand072 go back 2 yourguitar hero

  • @RockBand072

You have no idea what a guitar is apart that it doesn't have buttons like your guitar hero, do you?

  • @EvilKukka "real guitars are for old people...." lol

  • @EvilKukka I dont play guitar hero ya spastic.. My name is rockband cus im in a rock band ya retard.. I play electric guitar.. Fuck you ya freak..

  • Comment removed

  • @RockBand072

    No.

    - bass strings are much thicker

    - a lot more space between the frets

    - completely different sonic nuances that affect your playing

I'm a guitarist who has played bass, so I'm looking at it from your perspective.

  • @mussman717word

I see, well i aint never played bass before, just tuned a couple lol

I know it sounds different an shit, just was thinkin that this song could be played on the guitar.. :)

  • @RockBand072

I'm sure it's possible to play this on an acoustic guitar, but it would feel ten times different to play it on a 6-string bass and vice versa. I'm not sure of the tuning either, didn't really check it out.

  • @RockBand072 lol good one

  • @RockBand072 apparently you've been playing too much Rockband.

  • @RockBand072 lol youre such a noob, you dont know shit about guitars and basses. the neck is totally thicker and longerand the technique and the sound are totally diffrent.

  • you know what......................and i will speak for majority ere, anyone on here who is talking about how many f6uk1n9 strings there are or how s41te it sounds fu3k off, open your numb ar5e ears and listen to the damm song, how in gods name did us as whats meant to be known as human beings elove fro fu3k all into somthing being bodily ablt to play something so powerfull and beautiful.................whom ever you are............fuk1n nice one. : )

  • That solo is so beautiful

  • Comment removed

  • Awesome O_o

  • the only people who would talk bad about this are lousy bass players who can't play something that beautiful!!! Or who can't play period!

  • @rootsoundstudio lol so wrong there have been so many "FAMOUS" bass players that have said they do not like 5+ stringed basses because they ruin the sound for example Steve harris and victor wooten and i think you'll find that(no offence to guy playing this as i must agree that this is pure epicness) victor wooten and steve harris are better there is no arguing

  • @SlurkaDurka "Famous" for what? Steve Harris?? You put him on the same page as Wooten means you don't know what you're talking about. And Wooten cheats! He has his "cello" tuned bass which is a 6 string with the 2 strings missing! Playing in almost any setting these days REQUIRES a bassist to have the versatility of 5/6 string basses. A "bassist" who only buys 4 strings to stand on some high ground attitude is a moron. I have 2 4's, 2 5's, a fretless 6 and upright. Every string is played!!!

  • @rootsoundstudio lol i was only pointing out that yes you did get your statement wrong as yes victor wooten has a 6 string but as you said 2 strings removed and calling 4 string bassists morons would mean calling Paul McCarrtney (the beatles)

    Cliff Burton (metallica)

    John Entwhistle (the who)

    John Paul Jones (led zeppelin)

    Jack Bruce (cream)

    Lemmy(motorhead)

    sting

    roger walters(pink floyd)

    Chris Novoselic (Nirvana)

and steve harris from iron maiden morons good luck with that...

  • @SlurkaDurka Ahh...I just love being misquoted. We were talking about NEW bassists with an attitude toward the 5/6 strings. In the 70's (when I started playing bass) the 4 string was considered the "rock" bass and the 5 which were not mass produced were considered "jazz" There are all kinds of things I could say about that list above but let me summarize it by saying, just because the bassists played with a big popular band DOESN'T make him or her a great bass player.Anyone can pluck a root

  • Comment removed

  • @rootsoundstudio in which case yes i totally agree with you NEW bassists do have to use 5+ stringed basses as its one of the ways they sound unique from the older sound as for you saying anyone can pluck a root,if you try to learn an iron maiden, beatles or metallica(depending on the era) you will deffinatley find it hard as for lemmy and sting etc, yes they probably arent hard to learn riffs and songs but they still sound brilliant

  • @SlurkaDurka I am loving this debate. I have studied many of those bassists lines with exception of Lemmy. I heard in an interview that he plays minor or dim. minor runs over major chords to replicate the thick sounds of the steel mills near where he grew up in England. And I have never played Harris or Trujillo but I have watched them. I was playing McCartney before I graduated high school in 1980! I loved the minamilistic approach sting had and I still steal many of his ska riffs.

  • @rootsoundstudio i dont talk bad about it, if you would have learned any instrument you would know that most of all songs are only scales which are played up and down...so there must come a santana with some feeling who makes such things sounds "WOW" ...i had a "good" feeling but no "WOW" effekt,...for "WOW" effekt check channel of zack kim ...no more comment

  • bravissimo

  • I for one found it Beautiful!..Thanks!

  • perfect and clear playing, great musicianship

  • Excellent!

  • Impressive.

  • im a beginner bassist and it is beyond me why anyone would want to a 6 string bass when theres another instrument for 6 strings. bass has a performs a certain function in music, a guitar another....

  • @hekoka Listen to Jazz-Rock Fusion for a few months and you'll have a completely different attitude about bass function!!Fusion bassist are among the most prolific players on the planet!!On 4,5,6,or 7 string basses.Fretted or Fretless.

  • @hekoka Playing music has no such limits, in fact , it's exactly there where creativity is found.

  • Comment removed

  • @hekoka it's a solo... any instrument can be soloed... ever seen a drum solo? doesn't mean he plays like that when all the other instruments are joined in... You are a beginner bassist so please read my comment above and save yourself the embarrassment of showing up to an audition with only a 4 string and an attitude.

  • @rootsoundstudio nobody is gonna show up to an audition at all trust me lol theres nothing to be embarrassed i made a point based on my basic knowledge

then why dont you just solo with a 4 string bass if its just a solo?! of course you can have a 12 string bass but i personally think it loses its appeal when you see a bassist emulating a guitarist!!!!

  • @rootsoundstudio You can solo on a four string... lots of funk artist from the 70's have four string bass solos. I think in this case the use of a six string allows more chording and melodic transitions. Although I have seen multi string basses, I believe the 12 string octaves the note of each string. 3 E's, 3 A's,... My point was 5 string basses are ESSENTIAL for any modern bassist. You should google 5 string uprights from 1800's.

  • Hey man, my hat is off to you even though i wear dreds! You just inspired me to go and buy a six string bass and i have been playing a four string since 1966. PEACE L. MAJOR

  • Exelent !!

    Is that a song?

    or an improvise?

  • he is basically playin his bass as a spanosh guitr. was so great!?

  • @MrJesusfreakmike

i hate the word "like a guitar"

  • @bassentence But thats wat he's basically doin although putting it into a bass context.

    OH and "like a guitar" isn't a word. :P

  • A truly beautiful song!!! Congratulations! I watched it more than once.

  • A really beautiful song!! Congratulations!! I watched it more than once.

  • WOW!

  • He is not merely a functional bass player. He is a musician that chooses the bass as his instrument much like Michael Manring. Therefore he plays MUSIC (not just bass lines)on his bass.

  • he has six strings, thats not fair. i have only five :) check out my bassvideos! Peter

  • nice!!!!!!!!!

  • i thought it is a spector bass

  • awesome

you are an excellent bass player

  • 6 strings are for pussys! why can't u just use a normal 4 string! anyway, the high c sounds retarted! you are good though, i just don't like 6 strings, i think they are retarted!

  • @SuperBurton89 When Leo Fender created the Electric Bass, some said "Why do you need an Electric Bass? Why can't you use an upright acoustic bass?"Why should we go backward? Why do less? Why stay the same?I ask you. What was before the upright bass?Would you go back to that?

  • @SuperBurton89 i had a 4 string bass, and now i have a Peavey foundation 5, and it's cool.

    5 strings is enough.

6 is too much.... a guitar has 6.... what's the difference then?

  • @XSymphony fucking think

  • @XSymphony You might consider that the instrument is, in fact, a bass _guitar_. And when you do, the question you should be asking is: Why wouldn't it have 6 strings?

  • Comment removed

  • @SuperBurton89

Means a lot coming from a guy who can't spell retarded....

  • @SuperBurton89 Bwahahha! You really made me laugh :D "The high C sounds retarted!" "I just don't like 6 strings, I think they are retarted!" haha, first - you can spell retarded, okay.. but what you are saying is: "THE STRING HAS DOWNS SYNDROME!"

  • That sounds so soft

    I like it !!

  • My dear friend. I'm so happy to listen to you and to have the possibillity to listen to you and great music creator like you!!! Thanks. Alexei.

  • De verdad Maravilloso solo de GUITARRA

  • Ett annat välspelat bassolo på en 6-strängad Warwick. Vackert.

  • great!

  • เสียงสวรรค์ •)

  • The Warwick Streamer Stage I is my favorite bass. I would love to buy one with six strings; unfortunately, it's out of my budget at the moment...

    Great job,

    5/5 and faved

  • @SSJ4Brolyisthebest I know what you me,Bro.IDream of a Warwick Infinity six string fretless. Not only is it out of my budget too,but it"s not available! It's not being produced!

  • @gebass6 I think the Warwick Custom Shop could build it for you. :)

  • @SSJ4Brolyisthebest Yeah!I know! But i'd have to sell my car and my dreams to afford it!

  • lol basses are tuned BEADGC. its easy to remember if you play a wind instrument cuz those are the first six flats.

  • Muy bueno!

  • Excellent job my man! What's the tune? Or is it just a classical hybrid you wrote? Whatever it is, you did a great job! :) Thanks for sharing!

  • wonder how its tuned

  • Comment removed

  • @z850615 Thats not the standard tuning for a six string bass. The standard tuning is BEADGC straight forths

  • @z850615 - You do know that's a guitar tuning not bass... right?

  • @supersquirrel47 BEADGC

  • nice changes.

  • simply beautiful!!!

  • Sounds awesome! Could you post the sheet music for it?

  • Comment removed

  • borin as fuck

  • Comment removed

  • What the fuck? 6 Strings doesn't mean you fucking want to play guitar. It simply gives you access to a wider range of notes. BTW, this is a bass GUITAR.

  • @Bigpotatos Some people are fucking dumb.

  • Why are you so aggressiv?

His playing sounds awesome. Who cares if he plays it like a guitar?!

If it sounds good - its good.

  • what's wrong with you?

Even he play 100 string bass and what u gonna to do is to keep shutting the fuck up.

As long as it sounds good who care how many strings on the bass?

    you are fucking retarded.

  • Amazing! :)

  • very nice

  • storageboxinformatio and GuitarAnsatsu are in the minorityMost agree that not all music needs to be full of thrills, chills and flashy speed runs.

  • that was really boring, but since im pretty high, it was quite relaxing

    way to go, you!

  • Comment removed

  • Not half as boring as all the crap out there that sounds exactly the same in order to fit into some tired worn out "cool" paradigm

  • awesome man, great tone!

  • amazing!! too clean the sound

    and very nice the song

  • Comment removed

  • killin'!

    great tone too

  • I want you to know this is an amazing piece of work. I listen to it when I'm worked up or going to sleep. It really helps me calm down. Thank you so much for this post :))

  • i think my heart melted through my ears

  • amazing work! sounds great.

  • very beautifull and lovely playing!Great work!!

  • En fait, j'aime revenir de temps en temps pour l'écouter. Joli morceau, vraiment :)

  • very fine JB

  • nice man!!! sounds awesome

  • great job ,dominique di piazza is my favorite bass player too

  • This guy loves music. You can feel the passion through his playing. Heavenly.

  • compliments! very nice bass solo!!

  • very very fine

  • See my brazilian band, at theater in video at my profile

  • tone rememinds me that of jeff berlins... Pretty fucking great composition there my friend. fantastic

  • 6 strings offer a more range. The low B and the high C give one the ability, if practiced as well as Jean has, to create in more chordal ways and, of course, the flexibility of running the fretboard beyond the limit of the 4 strings (upper ranges particularly) Triads can be done on 4 strings but the fact of the matter is, you don't have the same harmonic range as the 6 will give you. This guy has a good handle on his composition. Of course Victor Wooten still smokes with only 4 strings. Oh well

  • @thumpah808 well said.

  • @thumpah808 true story

  • @thumpah808 Victor wooten still often uses a 4 string that is tuned up, drops the e string and uses a C string, so its like the top 4 strings of a 6 anyway :)

  • @thumpah808 Just cause u have a greater pitch spectrum does not mean its better in any sense nor does it mean u can do alot more. Why does everyone not get a 6 or more stringed bass guitars then? I prefer 4 string bass guitar. Its a bass guitar, not a fkn guitar.

  • he could play it on a 4 sting bass, too. why do we need bass guitars with more than 5 strings?? can someone tell me?? you are more flexible and much faster on 4 or 5 string bass.

  • sounds like jaco wrote it in some points i love it!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the bass has just 4 or 5 string this as more. maybe its me that is wrong can you answer please

  • the only thing that differs a bass friend a guitar is that it must be an octave below a guitar when in standard tuning.

  • A standard bass will have 4 string, though there are basses with as little 1 or 2, up to 12 and maybe even more. There really are no limits are standards with bass these days.

  • Odd timing on the stuff, beautiful though

  • xD thats 1 of my bass collection xD

  • very fine nice

  • Very nice man!!!Beautiful "Dominique-esque" playing.I like your tone,it's warm, perfect for that type of solo playing!!!

  • I think learning by tabs aren't bad thing, and btw, I can read G- and F-key aswell :)

  • omgz!! Luuk at uhll tha scalemation muurrks!!

    Ass fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!

  • my friend that plays electric guitar said that... i didnt really feel like striking my friend in face

  • beautiful
