I was born 19 miles from the Kentucky line, on the Virginia side, in the Appalachian mountains. Living now near St Louis, and man....does this make me want to go back home!! Beautiful....and great music to boot!! :D Thanks for posting!
I live about 20 minutes from The Falls in Whitley county KY and it is so wonderful to share this beautiful landmark with the world!!! Thanks for this video and the Bluegrass music is perfect!!
Hats off to you all. Thanks for a great video and of course a great band. You have great taste in life and music thats for sure! Thank you made my day.
I LOVE the south! I have such great memories of when I was a kid going down their with my mom and granny. If we could, we would be down their now-for good. But that its only a dream...
i was a white water rafting guide for 2 yrs on the cumberland.we put in at the bottom of the falls and went 6 mi. down stream to the headwaters of lake cumberland.the vidieo i see here is at a very high water level.grew up in corbin ky and miss it very much.1985 @ 1986 are the yrs i rafted.daniel boone national forest connects to cumberland falls state park, stretches from tn 1/2 way to ohio.they just annexed more land now that borders my moms house
No, I have never seen it. Where is it located? I'll bet it is gorgeous.....but, then, I've never seen a waterfall I didn't like. I keep trying to get my husband to build me one out back, LOL! It would never measure up to the real thing, but it would be better than nothing! ;) I would love to travel the whole U.S., but since that will never happen, I, like you, will try to see all the best that KY has to offer, especially nature.
Nice! I'm in western KY but wish I'd been raised in the eastern part. I love Cumberland Falls, Red River Gorge, Natural Bridge, Renfro Valley, the Big South Fork train, Kingdom Come State Park, Jenny Wiley State Park, Daniel Boone National Park, Breaks Interstate Park, etc. I was a desk clerk at Ramada, & one guest from CA told me she's been to almost every state in the US, & KY is the prettiest she's seen. The mountainous half IS really gorgeous.
I've visited the Falls, Gorge & Bridge, as well as Boone Nat'l. Check out "Russell's Roadtrip" video at Kingdom Come State Park. I haven't had a chance to spend time in Boone Nat'l, or see Renfro Valley, Big Fork train, etc. I'm making it a point, in my 40's (and beyond), to discover the natural wonders that reign in our Commonwealth. Have you ever seen Angel Falls? I have one grainy picture of my trip there.
Bluegrass is music from heaven. You have beautiful shots of the falls, I didn't see anything nearly as beautiful when I was there. Thank you for posting this video.

Nice shot of the falls, and nice to hear the Steel Drivers! I graduated high school with Chris Stapleton, he was always a very talented guy.
