Dude, i feel your pain, i (stupidly) thought i would go back to android from wp7. So i sold my my WP and bought a stock Galaxy S i9000. BIG mistake! It seemed to be working ok until i updated the SW to gingerbread 2.3.3 using Samsung's own KIES software,... then all hell broke loose! It started acting exactly like yours and became IMPOSSIBLE to use! i couldn't press half the keys on the keyboard, and the the phone opened random apps as and when it wanted to, in the end i returned the phone!!
