  • Saw them live in Philly, tightest and loudest band ive seen. I specifically remember "elephants" and "Gunman" being absurd!

  • This isn't just another Homme "project". If JPJ's comments are any indication, there will at least be one more album. They even play original music that isn't on this album live.

  • This song is good on the album, but was unreal live. If you have a chance to go see them live, you gotta do it, it was an unbelievable show.

  • After getting this far through the album, I can say it's good.

I hope this band becomes big, it's time people heard what rock should sound like, and these three people are pioneers.

And to 1812Tecumseh, they aren't in it for the money, they are on an independent label.

  • I never said they were in it for the money . I just said people should buy the album instead of downloading illegally .

  • Ok, then I agree with you. People should stop illegal downloading. The bands and artist work hard to make these songs, the least you could do is pay a dollar per song.

  • WOO! TOMORROW! this is probably my favorite song too...

  • Tomorrow!

  • Can't wait to see this performed live!!

  • very nice :D!!! i just got a question... any one know where i can found the album for international shipping D:? im from Chile and i just want it :D!!

  • it tickles me the way yanks get so peeved by silly things like an album being released in another country before their own. how dare they!!!hehe!!!no hard feelings just taking the piss.

  • i wish i had it now, but it's cool. we got our ps3's first, so I think we're even! haha

  • I'm Fucking speechless! this is blowing my brains out. Well done TCV this is what i needed.

    thank you.

  • "Feeling somewhat deserving

Of what will be someday ~

No I can never stay melancholy,

I've the memory of your face"

  • when was the world release and where? it was released in australia on the 12th which i find hard to belive when its coming out tomorrow in US.

  • That is correct

  • this is where jpj's influence really takes over. obviously with a touch of qotsa. wicked!!!

  • don't forget Dave's massive power behind the kit. He stomps heads with his bass drum patterns.

  • Comment removed

  • ya definitly. what he adds to this super group goes without saying. i hope they intend to make more records.

  • I am seeing these guys live in january. WIN!

  • Enjoy!!! It's an awesome show. Kick ass

  • Yeah. These favorite lists are pretty retarded. Buying the album tomorrow. The quality of illegal downloads is often suspect, anyways. I hope TCV has a good sized U.S. tour sometime next year. I expect that the second album will be out by the middle of the year.

  • Doubt it with all the projects josh is working on

  • Rock on!!! Riff-a-lious. Like the back beat change at 1:03.

    Yeah!

  • all you pricks who download this illegally , don't be complaining if the band says " piss on it all " because no one buys the albums .

  • @1812Tecumseh Yeah. Because these guys are totally in it just for the money.

    ... idiot.

  • you miss the point , ya daft prick

  • i like to download specific favorite songs and buy the whole album. i like having my favorites at hand on computer and the cd in the car or in my room

  • Although I can bootleg this now, I won't because this deserves to be bought... among with the many other discs that is this quality music =D

  • i only heard about tcv today and instantly excited. im leavin work early tomorrow to get straight out and buy it the proper way in a shop. this band deserve it. you can tell a lot of effort went into this. i think dave and josh are awesome anyway and will certainly be checking out more of jpj and led zepplin very soon......5*...........

  • epic guys, though i swear josh homme sounds completely different from how he does in QOTSA and eagles of death metal

  • Thats the beauty of it all, Josh always has a different sound to every album and every band

  • Kind of reminds me of that song "Cult of Personality" by Living Colour (the intro riff anyways).... good shit

  • this is f*ckin awesome

  • Dace grohl is really incredible as a drummer, whatever he do...

  • this is the only song i have allowed myself to listen too, i am waiting for my album to arrive first thing tomorrow!!

  • you are in for a fucking treat

  • thisis the best song on the record JPJ awesome

  • this is my new favorite, it rocks!

  • This song is better than any orgasm I've ever...and will ever have.

  • just when i thought what a messed up, screwed up year 2009 was, a righteous beacon soars into the room, in the form of Them Crooked Vultures!! Thank you God!!!

  • the opening is better than the stairway to heaven rif

  • um.. thats a close one lol

but you know what.. fuck it.

    This riff is the best!!

  • the feeling when you hear the intro............. wow!! .....one of the best riffs of josh!!! what an amazing band!!

  • the minute i heard this intro, i knew it reminded me of the intro to "cult of personality" by living colour.

  • lolz i knew it sounded like something but i couldnt place it until u said it T_T

  • fucking nice ontro

  • soooooo awesome ... dave is a beast

  • Such a killer song and how to handle a rope is just as equally magnificent i might add.

  • First josh wanted to his guitars to sound like power tools, he did that and it was awesome. And now Mr. innovative has found a way to make his guitars sound like elephants. Effin brilliant!

  • I name this INTRO of the year!!!!! fuckin EPIC

  • Yeah honestly, fucking wicked intro and a sick riff

  • The future has arrived.

  • Can't wait till I get the album. Or until I get my damn tickets either!

  • this album is going to mark music history... it's simply too good to be true

  • That opening riff is just brilliant :D

Love the lyrics on this track too

  • Muy buena cAncion... a esperar a el 16 para tenerlo en mis manos

  • que ansia tengo... unas ganas para el 16!

  • jaja si yo igual voy a estar a primera hora en la tienda para comprarlo, salu2

  • why the fuck are QOTSA fans posting their fav songs by them???...this a Them Crooked Vultures video people. Morons

  • @nickolbuck its string sounds, it doesn't sound like it should because you're listening in either crappy speakers or because of the youtube quality.

    In the Fade

  • 5 Best Queens of the Stone Age in no order:

    Misfit Love

    You Can't Quit me Baby

    Song for the Dead

    Avon

The Fun Machine took a S#!T and Died

  • I try to have faith - With this I have been truly rewarded!!

  • Numbered lists are generally unhealthy for music conversations ;)

Everyone, name your 5 favorite qotsa-songs in no order!

Another Love Song, Song For The Dead, Avon, Little Sister, Make It Wit Chu :)

  • Avon, In My Head, Better living through Chemistry, Long Slow Goodbye, Go with the flow... but I'll cheat and add First it giveth, infinity, Lost Art, Little sister and Mexicola...

  • wow... this should have been the first single. just my opinion... i'm lovin' this whole album though.

  • I literally don't even know what to do with myself right now I am so amazingly pumped for this god damn album and that these 3 gods got together just to cum in our ear pussy's!!!!!!!!!

  • fuck yeah!

    That was one mighty Eargasm

  • cant wait till i get the album!

  • Fucking crazy riff, Homme is an axe god

  • Regarding the QOTSA album thing -

i started off listening to them with Songs For The Deaf. It is a great album, but my personal favorite is actually Era Vulgaris. 3's and 7's has the coolest riff of life!!

  • The best record with qotsa is the first but the best song is the bronze from the splitt cd with beaver.

  • Qotsa self titled is such a gem. Homme's guitar arrangments on that record are my fav. Heavy, subtle, complex, dirty and straightforward all woven together as one.

  • The Bronze, Infinity, Born to hula and rickshaw.

Thats the four best songs mr.homme have done.

  • I couldn't agree more mate, well said.

Add "You can't quit me baby" to that list and that's the 5 best songs I've ever heard in my life

Although this TCV stuff is brilliant as well!

  • I agree with you :) "you cant...." is the best song on the first rec. Well, i have the TCV rec now, it was released in sweden today :) And its awesome...Much better then ERA VULGARIS and LULLBIES......I think thoe two are the worst qotsa rec....Ahh i forgot one song. DEAD IN LOVE from the latest DS....

  • Comment removed

  • I'm with you on that.

  • it's like every zepplin riff in this song! rolling stone described this record good as the two led zepplin disciples (grohl and homme) writing their own led zepplin fan fiction with jpj making it sound like led but not too much

  • rolling stone also called the first three Zeppelin albums crap .Clueless publication .

  • Rolling Stone magazine has always been super-biased towards certain things. That's why I read Blender for articles on music.

  • Some of the UK music mags are good also .

  • blender is terrible, they called Primus one of the worst bands ever.

  • Mammoth track!

  • Innerspace100: i think we had a good idea of that already after his work with Diamanda Galás as well as his solo albums.

  • Sure. I know those works. But there are quite a few people out there who've heard only the most popular Zep tracks. I was mainly directing my comment to those, really:-)

  • As Mackichan1 said, lots of the Zep wibe present here. Now we get solid proof that Jones was a significant contributor to a lot of them old tracks back then. Wasn't just Page, as some would have us believe. Jones is a mighty fine arranger, in case you forgot...

  • Page took loads of unearned credit for Jones' contributions, those more heavy zep riffs were Jones, Black Dog for example was his and Page couldn't even play it as written. And yes, we have the 3 great JPJ solo albums and the Sporting Life, (which is incredible) to prove that.

  • alot of zeppelin in this track, love it

  • he's got THE TALENT

  • Long live Kyuss!!!

  • guys, dont forget Desert Sessions, lots of different artists with Josh on those, or Eagles of Death Metal

  • Josh Homme a true profesional, mixiing the Awsome melodies of "songs for the deaf" and the great lyrics of "era Vulgaris" add a Rock n Roll royalty and legend and and the best drummer in ze world, who also happens to be the face of grunge( since kurt is dead), put all of theese in the oven at 200 degrees, and after 3 hours, you just might have the awsomest band EVAR...

but only one thing is for sure... Them Crooked Vultures are going to write history ;)

  • The start sounded alot like the beginning of Cult of Personality.

  • lullabies is pretty damn good. but i miss some of the edginess they had with nick oliveri and his vocals/bass.

  • I agree, I miss those Nick screams that make you shit your pants lol

  • i think this will be the first album i will have gotten in years

  • The songs of their self titled album are great too.

Mexicola, Avon, How to Handle, You Can't Quit me Baby.

    I like the whole abum.

  • GIVE THE MULE WHAT HE WANTS!!! Love it all, too!

  • Regarding the QOTSA tracks, you should give a chance to them all. I think Josh is a master in building an atmosphere with a song, so each song may be suitable for different moods. My private opinion is that Lullabies to Paralyse is the best album, since it's the darkest.

  • Lullabies in general is probably their most underrated album. I love it.

  • Yeah baby that's fuckin good !

  • this is the first song I heard when they played live @ pukkelpop. It's a real in your face song!

  • Never listned to a lot of QOTSA, but have alwyas been a huge Led and Grohl fan. Can someone give me an idea some good Queens songs that are not on the radio?

  • Misfit Love, Lost art of Keeping A Secret, Avon, and Song for the Dead are all big crowd pleasers at their shows

  • Make it wit you, go with the flow, Better Living Through Chemistry and Burn the Witch are also great tracks

  • Lost Art of Keeping a Secret

    Misfit Love

    Better Living Through Chemistry

    Someone's in the Wolf

    Burn the Witch

    I'm Designer

Some of my non-radio favorites. (Well, nonradio that I know of.)

  • If you want an introduction to QOTSA I think that listening to Songs For The Deaf is a good starting point because it is probably their most accessible album since there are a lot of catchy, good songs on there.

  • Ha! they put this up themselves. now thats fucking cool. I'm definately buying this

  • Love this track. Went to see Eagles of Death Metal and on the trip to it, i had this cd on. This track on repeat!

  • With most "super-groups" I usually only like one or two members, but I'm more than just a casual listener to these three. Lovin this album, and hope to get a chance to see them live!

  • this song is now my ringtonw B) SICK INTRO

  • Buying the album in less than 9 hours!!!!! YEAH!

    (living in australia pays off!)

  • EPIC!

  • When the fuck will they hit Canada? Specifically talking about here in Vancouver!
