Great song! I'm a music teacher from the U.S. I'd love to share this song with my students. Does anyone know the original lyrics, and maybe a translation into English? thanks!
Answering my own question, partly. I just found the lyrics of the course in the comments section of another video. I'd still love help with the verses. :)
Indépendance cha cha tozui e
Oh ! Kimpuanza cha cha tubakidi
Oh ! Table Ronde cha cha babagné o
Oh ! Dipanda cha cha tozui e
(L'indépendance cha cha, nous l'avons conquise
Oh ! L'indépendance chacha, nous l'avons obtenue
Oh !
Oh ! L'indépendance cha cha, nous l'avons conquise)
What I like most on this song are the emotions that are shown by the congolese citizens everytime one plays this song in the streets of Kinshasa. They smile, sing and dance. That is a great benefit for Grand Kalle.
keba bokeba , ordre yasika eye desordre bokomona yango lisusu te ,, makambu oyo esili kongo bosepela , africa sikoyo ya yo , peuple noire beta maboko ba mindele ba suki nzambe ya bakoko nabiso akanisi biso atindi mutu pe mutu yango aza deja na kin , na signale bino deja aza na maluku keba , bosepela victoire
Oh by the way our life span is about 80 years not the 35-40 you have in the lost congo. Notice I don't capitalize it , I only capitalize Belgian Congo and Leopoldville. Maybe in 1000 years you will reach the European standards.
@eduardalet ANOTHER WHITE DEVIL WHO FEELS THE NEED TO COMMENT ON AN AFRICAN VIDEO! BEFORE YOU SATANIC CAVE CREATURES CAME AND DESTROYED THE DRC AND MUCH OF AFRICA WE HAD OUR OWN CIVILIZATIONS, LANGUAGES AND CULTURE! WE WERE NOT GREEDY LIKE YOU DEVILS WHO WERE WILLING TO KILL BABIES FOR GOLD! THAT SHIT WAS EVERYWHERE EVEN DIAMONDS BUT YOU CAME AND LIKE THE DEVILS YOU ARE KILLED AND ENSLAVED JUST TO GET SOME OF OUR RESOURCES! THE DEVIL IS A GREEDY MOTHERFUCKER AND THAT IS WHAT YOU ARE!
@babyfods18 Get some psychiatric help my boy, oh yes I remember the wonderful times in the Congo when I only snapped my fingers and said boy, and he replies yes master, please my Coca -Cola with lemon. As he was standing there shivering with fright he went back to his servants place. Ah yes the Congo , que bonne chance to have made so much money in so little time because of you fuck ups. Belgians the best civil engineers in the world , as you can see in Leopoldville , n'est ce pas, mon singe
@eduardalet I see why they call some people retard''''if u take pleasure in abusing another human being simply because he is ignorant of who he is,,,might be it explain why many of ur kind molest kids,,,,,,please keep ur ignorance to urself because ur not better off than the kid ur degrading,,,by the way, why are u hear if u dont have anything to share than spew hate?
It was created by HRH King Leopold 2 , if you study anthropology you will see that in the Congo there were no boundaries the tribes moved freely about with each different one hating the other. That is the root cause behind the problems , the boundaries were created by Europeans. Therefore you see all the hatred posted below , yes I was there from 1969-1972 a quiet time when Leopoldville only had 1,000,000 population. Today it is overpopulated and its infrastructure has failed, good luck.
Belgians built the Congo into a beautiful place airports , coffee plantations, farms , water plants, coca cola I was there in 1969 and imagine you even destroyed that, goodyear built a tire factory but withdrew everything that was left because workers could only think of stealing, what do you call uncivilized savages that should be put under the iron fist of colonial rule.Don't come begging to Europe because we don't need you monkees here we have enough of you at the antwerp zoo.

Absolutely love this song!
I just hope there's still optimism left in Congo, with all that's happened.. (also between our countries - mine being Belgium).

Congolees people didn't ask you nothing Mentally retarded person !!!
That's what you have to understand !!
You can not talk about "uncivilized" here when you live in a country where respect, family religion have no sense.
That's the reason of this song. We are glad and proud to sing this song 'cause we kicked your butt out of our country.
Then you release that monkeys know how to write.
If you were there in 1969, i hope you'll die soon & if i could i will shit on grave asshole !!!

belgium had nothing to seek there, it was african land.
If you don't wanna let them come to here. Well than it is simple, give all the money back to congo
the money from the profits of the natural resouces we stole. (500 billion euro's).
Europe has become the rich europe that we know because we stole everything from africa.
If you don't want them to come here, we had to stay away in the first place
