I'm not a Kimbo fan, but I do know things about him and before UFC and after the internet fights that made Kimbo famous he fought in other divisions. Kimbo fought in Elite XC, Cage Fury Championships, and also fought in pro-boxing matches.

I think Kimbo has basically gotten old, by the time he joined TUF he had already bad knees that limited his future in the UFC. But even with good knees, his ground game was weak and he would have struggled to compete in the UFC.
