@AlisongsLA Apart from his solo stuff try taking a listen to Del Amitri. In my opinion one of the most underrated bands in a LONG LONG time. They were an 80's thing and for some strange reason just never got the recognition I think they deserved.

freakygreenpapaya, though i don't imagine you'll ever see this reply, america has heard of this man - he fronted del amitri for many years and became relatively well known at the time - you may have heard a little number of his that broke the top 10, "roll to me". not his best work, by any stretch of imagination, but other hit singles that are among his best included "always the last to know" and "kiss this thing goodbye". he didn't get the recognition deserved, agreed, but he's not unknown.

What a shame that whenever Justin or the Dels are talked about the word "under-rated" is used. It's a mystery to me too. Maybe he should blat out a few banal poppy numbers to get noticed again...but you know that he won't. The man is simply class.

@alexthepmf Try listening to the rest of the album (if you haven't already); there are several stunning songs on there - my current favourites are 'If I Ever Loved You', and the 'hidden'/untitled, final track ('In the Rain'). That's only about a minute long, but is breathtaking, too, in my opinion.

But you should really be thanking Justin :) I wish that I could write songs that good (mine are O.K., but nowhere in the same league). I presume that you are familiar with most of Del Amitri's stuff - 'Change Everything', 'Twisted', and 'Some Other Sucker's Parade' are superb ('Waking Hours' is good, too).
