  • this movie was excellent and epic ! not like that shit of twilight and the others shitty sagas...

  • Stream..,It`'.Now''.

  • i like you lemonvampire1 (as a friend) and the wolfman was EPIC!!!!!!1

  • How could a Werewolf movie be this boring! The characters are so dull and unlikable. I thoughtit was funny how Emily Blunt fell in love with her dead fiances brother a week after his death lol. Especialy as they hardley speak two words to eachother except when he shows her how to skip stones. She must fall in love very easily.

  • why the fuck do people refer to shutter island as a horror film all the time? e[a0hfdea[n0fashf[n0asiofhn\zOFihsanfcpsdauofn piece of shit is barely a thriller

  • I liked the movie to be honest. It was different seeing a werewolf with a more human look but man, he was a monster. Compared to some werewolves we seen before this guy actually was agreesive and bloody.

  • man I thought that the movie was really good!! And with the way it ended they should make some sort of sequel or something.

  • LOL! Where the hell did these people come from?! They thought The Wolfman was GOOD?

  • I loved this movie. I love period films.

  • 100% movie to watch! ive watched this at webmovietube and many other more movies too :)

  • Yeah this movie wasn't really as good as i thought it would be

  • 9.5/10 This movie was badass. Whenever he transformed into the werewolf, I found myself with my jaw dropped at many of the action scenes. The only problem is the ending. I just don't like it when there's that one person that the creature won't kill. Most of the time, it's the love interest.

  • Lycanthropy comes from the greek mythology of King Lycaeon of Arcadia, who was turned to a wolf after offering a tainted dish ( human flesh of a prisoner ) to Zeus.

Werewolf comes from the old english word wer ( man ) wulf ( wolf )

  • good movie

  • kitty hat...

  • WÃTCH at GetMovie . Us ;)

  • this movie was good not great i liked it but i felt the gore and blood kinda out weighed the drama it seemed as tho the director didnt know exactly what kind of movie he was trying to make either please the blood and gore crowd or the fans of the original but in all joe johnston didnt do to bad

  • 5.5 cuz they used other language as a gipsy one. Thats NOT a gipsy language!

  • This was a very decent werewolf that i have seen in a long and I will take this over that twilight stuff any day:)

  • 8.5

  • I love this movie, a classic done with a modern day twist, love, rage and a passion for revenge, sounds like a hit to me, lol!

  • its not a great movie but its a fun little horror movie. i like how it didnt follow the original that much and how it was its own thing. thats how remakes should be. they should do their own thing.

  • I think a lot of poeple that really liked this film are reeling over how much Twilight did to destroy the werewolf legend. But, this movie really wasn't good at all. Everything was CGI'ed to death. They should have stuck with the original plot more than they did. It's like they read the first two lines of the original and said "Fuck it.". It had a comic book plot. People only like the mood in this movie because Hollywood rarely dabbles in this gothic horror theme. It was refreshing, not good.

  • this film is a disappointment ...the trailer is good but not the film

  • well i really didnt like this movie i thought it was only blood and way to much scare moments. not that the scare moments are bad but there were way too much.

  • LON LIVES ON! a good movie i would give it an 8.5 and even though it's impossible to beat the original this was a great remake. all they need to do is remake the house of series, that would be awsome!

  • @The3Downz Well, thats what they were doing I mean sure the transformation was CGI but it looked cool and other than that, there were making all the special effects as real as possible. This is the best werewolf film I have seen in many years:)

  • This is how werewolves should look like...not the like they do in the gay Twilight shit...

  • wow.... 10... 9 and a half... ???!!!

  • it was good.

  • If this movie had more practical effects and less CGI it would feel a lot more real and creepy.

  • wait just a god darned minute! Jurassic Park 4?!

  • my fav horor movie of all time

  • What is wrong with everyone? Why am i the only who thought this was a GOOD movie?!

  • @stijnreigel Trust me, your not the only one.

  • @stijnreigel your not the only one. i LOVED this movie :))

  • I'm 14 years old and I LOVED that movie. I mean, this is what a werewolf would look like if they were real, not some dog faced mutt. Think realistically, but you can't really be realistic about this. Anyway, just imagine they are real, how are you suppose to change a human, into a huge dog that walks on two legs. THIS is way way more reasonable.

  • Twilight wolf pack my ass. Now THAT'S A WEREWOLF.

  • it was great i think, i dont know why critics hated it so much, and alot of those criticism seem pretty invalid, i've read/heard people say the acting sucks, while other said the acting was too much.

  • @p4cm4n182 Yeah, seriously. I have the original on dvd and I'm a huge werewolf fan. I saw it and I enjoyed it. I mean I had my share of seeing bad werewolf films but this didn't suck and I wish people of this generation appreciated it more. I don't care what some people say or any of those bullshit critics rather on tv or on the internet, it was truley a very decent werewolf film.

  • i love this movie. i cant wait for this to hit Blu Ray

  • this movie was great and it had more jumpy scare moments then i expected

  • Just caught it at the dollar cinema, I'm poor not cheap, and it was okay. I could really have done without Hopkins. He chews the scenery as if he were an actual werewolf and starving. Del Toro seemed to have phoned this one in but I blame the director for that.Every one else was pretty good. I give it 6 out of 10 stars.

  • Is it just me or does Grace Randolph kinda sound like a chick version of Goofy, lol?

  • a 9?

    That's way to much.

I was really looking forward this movie and I was seriously disappointed. The movie had a lot of fill in the blanks, they never explained the mith and you really could't feel Benicio's character or any other so.... I'll give it a 6 or 7

  • W00t Captian America is getting a movie!

  • @hcubeentertainment Yeah but that douchey guy that played the human torch in the fantastic four movies has been cast as Captain America.I think that is a bad omen.

  • I thought this movie was mediocre at best. It took itself way too seriously and the editing was choppy as hell. Not to mention, the whole film felt like it was severely cut down. You could sense conflicts of interest at play.

  • worst movie i have ever seen

  • worst movie ive ever seen

  • hey i like jumanji

  • everything happens very fast in the beginning, How can they fell in love in the first 15 min?.

    yeah It was a disapointment.

  • Had heard so much bad but because of the visuals wanted to see this in the theatre. Better than I had feared. Blunt was really wasted, she could've been given more. Hopkins did great as usual, but didn't ask that much of him. Del Toro is an amazing actor but he just didn't work for me in this role. Too much sidetracking it seemed like. Great music though.

  • 7.5 - was very good, as soon as the action kicked in it was an immense movie but slow in some parts.

  • I had expected more from this movie.... It was a disapointment.

  • I thought the movie would be more in the spirit of Bram Stokers Dracula, but I was let down. :(

  • Those reviews couldn't be further from the truth I can not see how anyone could reccomend this movie to their friends I can not see a single aspect in this movie that could redeem the movie enough to go see it.

  • Wolfman was ok but it seemed like it was made in the 90's

  • Benicio del toro has better movies, like the 2 che guevara movies he made

  • 10 really good i liked it the way he turned into the wolfman was amazing and the the love for the women was good and his dad was even better

  • i found it boring

  • Aside from some cool practical effects nothing much else worth reccomending.Generic Predictable seen-it-all-before-done-much-better horror film.Wait until its on DVD 4/10

  • 4/10 : "wait til its on DVD"

this movie was soooooooo boring.. seriously wait for the dvd dont waste money at the theatres!!

  • those people are so biased

    they give it a 10

    lol hilariaous

  • this movie is a joke

    a bad one

  • I give your boobs a 10 : )

  • didnt like it 6/10

    story was slow

effects were cheap (except for mid-transformation)

hardly any gore for a r-rated werewolf movie

plot kinda skips part here and there

the big fight or the "climax" was a dud

    ending was whack

only thing good about this movie is anthony hopkins character, at times

  • @charlescarter1989 I have no idea what you were watching man, everyone said it was way too gory. And the cheap effects were sort of the point of the movie, sticking to the classic

  • dude i love how instead of just sitting there bashing on it for 5 minutes (wasting my time) it actually reviews everything before and then gets opinions on it too so that it isnt just bullshit the whole time

    *LIKED IT* ;D

  • i dont really like this film tbh.. the animations are good the action is good the parts wich make you jumpn are good but... te story isnt really that good. i give the movie a 6/10

  • WOW, is this rated R in america?

    In norway it`s only 15+

    i didn`t like the movie BTW =(

  • WTF: Van Helsing is THE BEST wapire/werewolf movie of the 2000nds!!!!

  • This film was awesome,I saw it Friday.

  • I give it a 5/10. The pacing was off, the characters were unsympathetique and the extensive use of CGi in the transformation scenes ruined he magic and the chance for an Academy Award nomination; this movie is by no means Academy Award wearthy.

  • You've done terrible things Universal, terrible things.

  • P.S. I give it a four/ten.

  • i am reviewing this review and it blows

  • Scary, voleint, insane. In other words the best werewolf movie I've ever seen.

  • Lycan my friend not werewolf stop with Human words, be more poetic, use other words for once oh yeah one more thing the proper word for Vampire is Homunis Nocturna. Seriously stop with the modern words Werewolf replaced the word which is Lycan I'm serious about this.

  • Actually the term is lycanthrope. But then you wouldn't know that since you're just basing this on Underworld, which shows that you really don't know what you're talking about. And though the term Lycanthropy derives from ancient Greek, The word werewolf is far from modern, having its origins in old English. Also, "Homunis Nocturna" is just a silly latin-sounding phrase made up by pathetic goth kids. And by the way, all words are human words.

  • @lemonvampire1 and none of its real.

  • @lemonvampire1 Homunis Nocturna? lol. Never heard of that before. Pathetic term indeed.

  • and how normal would you thin you would sound when you went around saying

"yeah! i saw that one movie about the Lycan and the one with the Hominis Nocturna was great too!"

    ye[pp

    sounds pretty normal ;P

  • You either got "homunis nocturna" from the metal band or Blade: Trinity. Either way, you fail for counting these as serious sources.

  • @DanteSparda08 How can we stop with human words? No other species has created words we can use instead lol.

  • haha yes i myself personally enjoyed this movie, the dude getting owned in the woods especally, it was priceless lol, my date that i was with i could feel her jump though her hand, i persoanlly give this movie about a 8.5-9

  • The movie was awesome, good acting, good setting, and kickass makeup by rick baker!

  • Some elements from the original were better, but the changes made were necessary and the special effects were UNBELIEVABLE!

  • that movie was awesome, it is one of my favorite movies, 100 out of 100

  • It sucks compared to the original. The original had so much more depth and the original actor puts the new cast to shame.

  • (2/10) I thought the film failed in it's objective to reach me at an emotional level as well as leaving me to feel as if the director didn't really know how to tell the story visually instead he used cheap scares and big names.

  • The movie was good enough. Nothing really new though....Over all I would give it a 7.5/10

  • Oliver Reed was miles better than Lon Chaney' as the wolfman.

  • The beast will have its day

  • Really wanna see this movie

  • The film was creepy, horrifying and Anthony Hopkins was AMAZING!

    10 out of 10

  • 6/10. Benicio Del Toro was a good enough substitute for Lon Chaney Jr. for modern horror but there aren't any modern day actors that can compete with the original Masters of Horror.

  • i have one word to describe what this movie is not: bad. everything about this movie is satisfying, and i enjoyed every second of it.

  • Benicio del toro was good in both che guevara movies

  • I loved this film. But quite surprised it didn't make 18

  • Overall the movie was perfectly balance, very little cgi but perfectly done and the make up was flawless,i would say the only week part of the movies was the story line witch was not so original overall rating 8/10.

  • from everything ive read up on, this movie was very well made.... may end up seeing this. wonder if its better than the original wolfman.

  • does the bald guy look like Harvey Pekar to anyone else?

  • : P

  • 10/10 Great film with an amazing performance by the vetran Sir Anthony Hopkins.

  • What did she mean when she said "Johnston Faultered on Jumanji and jurassic park 3". Jumanji was a great film.

  • girl at 3:42 is really cute ^_^

  • lmao, "scary movies really work"

    that means hes gettin laid.

  • 9/10

    slimy yet satisfying

  • that is quite the educated audience

  • Althought the original will always be the better film, this remake does justice and maintains the classic horror gothic feel.

    7/10

  • Good visuals, but overall, Wolfman ends up defanged.

  • My One sentence review:

SIMPLY, UTTERLY, AMAZINGLY, FU**ING AWESOME. 10,000,000/10

  • I went in not expecting the best movie ever and I wasn't really let down though the casting was fantastic. 7/10

  • Good movie. I agree with the little usage of computer animation comment. The movie itself was well rounded and had a great sense of suspense. I would give it an 8.5/10.

  • This movie is so bad, seeing it well give you flees.

  • I haven't seen it yet but i want to

  • That Dwight Yokam looking motherfucker seems like a pompous ass.

  • Hey Grace, check out our review over at Criticus Maximus, we gave the film a 2/10

  • I would probably give it an eight out of ten. For my summary I would say it was a good, genuine horror movie that was refreshing to the horror genre fans and that they could make an awesome horror movie without pointless sex and language.

  • jumanji was fucking great!

  • 1/10 boring!

  • 10/10 shat my pants

  • 9/10 Lovedd it

  • at 1:32 that kid with the dreads is a faaaaaggggeeetttt

  • @zpoopfase55 SO?

  • From che guevara to wolfman

  • the best invention in the world.... the medicine against sqaids, its some heavy SH*T!!!

  • I can't wait for the CGI craze that studios have embraced to be done with.

  • @skydark Sorry to disappoint you but it isn't going to go anywhere. It will get better but there's just no way to do the things they do in films now using traditional methods. People would laugh if they had some guy dressed up in a wolfman suit.

  • You misinterpreted my commentary. I don't mean they should go back to old special effects; I meant that the 80's and the 90's were particular in the sense that large scoped movies were extremely expensive and so they resorted to story development, acting or whatever else of value.

Nowadays, with CGI becoming cheaper and cheaper, producers can offer a visual spectacle that offers very little in cinematic terms.

    Originality is a rarity.

eg:Avatar-a new breed of cgi film. And I wasn't impressed.

  • @skydark We'd have to agree to disagree then because I really enjoyed Avatar. I think I look more at the potential than where we are at the moment. Just like with the current crop of video games that often offer style over substance. There is still a level of progression and eventually they'll learn to put it together the correct way. Making films has always been about experimentation. That's a huge part of the fun of cinematography.

  • I'll just quote the great Hitchcock:

"I don't understand why we have to experiment with film. I think everything should be done on paper. A musician has to do it, a composer. He puts a lot of dots down and beautiful music comes out. And I think that students should be taught to visualize. That's the one thing missing in all this. The one thing that the student has got to do is to learn that there is a rectangle up there - a white rectangle in a theater - and it has to be filled."

  • @skydark And that is one man's feeling on the matter. Obviously not everyone is going to agree with him, and that's a part of being human. No one man should ever define the direction of an artistic endeavor such as filmmaking.

  • I quoted him simply because he put into words what I feel about film experiments.

  • @skydark That's cool. I always enjoyed Hitchcock. Some of the best suspense films ever made. He was probably responsible for a lot of the nightmares I had as a kid. : )

  • Very well said. The second Starwars trilogy is a perfect example of that.

  • terrible movie a lot of lifeless crap, POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT!!!!!, it is really just a slaughter fest with some notes of horror. and i use some as in it is barely or not at all

  • wtf???

    JP 4....that's just wrong

i hope that's just a rumor she made up

  • he should rob a bank and shut people up with hi own hair ball

  • Why are people giving lame reviews in a comment box on Youtube?

  • 'cause the video is called "the wolfman movie review", does other people's opinion bother you? this movie is not that good... it's not scary, and it's not that interesting... perhaps you should see it.

  • I'm not sure what the movie was missing. I am a huge wolfman fan, as it remins one of my favs of the classic monsters. But there was something empty about the film. I can not put my finger on it. I did love the updated classic wolfman look, and the transformations. I loved the actors, but there was something lifless about the project. Maybe I wanted to love it too much.

  • 3/10. Terrible CGI, bad acting (even Anthony Hopkins didn't seem into it), entirely unoriginal plot with no surprises, an antagonist with no logical motivation, and honestly the jump scenes really sucked. They weren't scaryh, just loud.

However, Hugo Weaving and Benecio del Toro did fantastic jobs; their characters were very believable and interesting, I loved the makeup, it was a great nod to the original, and the sets and costumes were fantastic. But still no excuse for everything else.

  • With a solid plot, actors that did justice to their roles, and a couple of kickass transformation scenes, The Wolfman delivers a gorey good time to the viewers. 9/10

  • I think it only has a M15+ rating in Australia.

1:48 yes, werewolf craze beats vampires.

  • I expected a lot more from the movie.

  • wow, Grace Randolph is seriously hot. i love her voice

  • JUMANJI!!! ONE OF MY FAVES EVAR!!!

  • 8/10 Leaving some areas unfortunately unexplored, The Wolfman nevertheless provided plenty of jumps, the occasional clever twist, & a path to "Wolfman 2."

  • This movie was awesome..... I don't know why it's getting such scathing reviews (???????)

  • Too fun to be serious yet too serious to be fun. 6/10

  • 6.5/10. Definitely could have been better, I wasn't a big fan of what looked like a couple guys in fury costumes wrestling and some of the other details of the movie.

  • 6/10, it had such great elements but fell short in making it a good film, it was teen wolf meets twilight meets evil dead.

  • i spent the entire movie jacking off and jizzing on the seat in front of me. so i loved it.

  • lol wtf?

  • omg i watched the movie today it fuckin sucks its way gory tho but its sucks

  • A very nice revival of the classic 'werewolf' genre, none of that Twilight crud here.

  • This movie didn't even have a plot till about half way in and there were plenty of corny and "what...." moments, the special effects and its setting only made it good.

  • The film itself had much to be desired, but the great and deceiving ending made up for the cons. 8/10

  • This movie had me howling at the screen in boredom, and hoping for a silver bullet to the head. 5/10

  • the movie kicked ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I give it a 6/10 it lacked the real and mysterious feel that "Dracula" has

  • A couple fun gory moments couldn't save this borefest that tried a little too hard.

  • Mad Hispanics lol

  • i love period movies. not to mention that it was beautifully shot. i thought it was a great movie.

  • I recommend this movie and rate it an 8.
