ive eat a many black drums,most ppl dnt like the worms n the tail section just cut em out. I fillet em wrap em n tinfoil with sum lemon slices and smoke em for about 20 to 30 minutes they perfect

Most Black Drum over 20lbs have worms I would not suggest eating them

under 5 pounds?! lol ive only caught two, and the first one was 30 pounds, and the second was 43 pounds, i caught both in the last two weeks. and we dont use crabs for bait, we use live clams. Furthermore, i catch and eat Flounder, Rockfish, Trout, etc, and I have eaten almost every fish you can eat, and Giant Black Drum are one of the most delicious.

yeah under 5 pounds are best. we used to get a mess of them in suwannee and some we'd fillet and fry but others we would bake whole. but they are tasty both ways!

@ummmhuhhh Yeah, alot of people eat black drum. I like them under 5 pounds, but many, many people eat them all sizes. baked is the best in my opinion....
