  • Thanks again for this video i really miss this place

  • Nice..it reminds me again about that place and will never forget those days I was with my special friend last year and in the past..although not familiar with tamurong. I miss you my friend wherever you are...sorry for everything! I will never forget those happy moments together..but we have to move on..you will always have a special place in my heart...forever..

Thank you sunny for posting this video about Candon City and hope that you will continue posting ..Best Regards from California

  • @MrBongbongl26 Ahhh cool. So you know someone from Candon City? Blessings to you, and thanks for stopping by and visiting my other videos too. Stay in touch.

  • Beautiful voice, thank you for choosing this song. Some people say we chose our parents before we are born, and plan the lessons we need to learn while we are here. Many people have a feeling that they will not live a long life. Jim Croce created wistful, poignant songs such as Time in a Bottle and Photographs & Memories which in retrospect, appeared as if he knew his life would not be very long.

  • @heavnnnsent Thanks you for that beautiful comment. Jim Croce left big footprints that have expressed the deepest truths about all of us, in such beautiful music. What can I say... even beyond his death, he continues to teach and to point to eternal realities, that i pray he fully enjoys now.

I give you my respect and my friendship. Thank you for your kind words... your username says it a lot!

  • God gave you a beautiful voice!

  • Thank you! I am grateful to God every day that i can share it to others, and even use it for prayer in my ministry. God bless you.

  • you have a nice voice and perhaps try being yourself more

  • thanks... but what does this mean? "perhaps try being yourself more" i think you mean to not act out the song... i was just in the mod to do that here, but you might wanna check the other videos when i am "just being myself". :) i appreciate the suggestion. have a great season.

  • WTH???

  • IYDLI, WDYGSYDAGTH?! :P

  • its nice- ive seen alot worse than this. His voice is not inhuman and has a kind of whispy quality to it. Definately no Jim Croce but he obviously tried hard. Kudos dude.

  • I like your writing in the "more" section of this download. I share you outlook on life.

  • This is quite a late response, but i want you to know that i appreciate it. It is good to know i'm not alone in my outlook in life. Take care.

  • @sunnycastillo Yeah, it's a late response, but I re-read what I responded to and think, yeah, that's so right. We all have to find our calling in life. I found my calling but have gotten temporarily haulted and diverted. I'm fighting to get back on course and it's a serious battle, about as serious as you find in life. But again, it's important not to be "generic individuals" as so many people are.

  • A funny MV ...

  • this reminds me of my hometown, Look, Biliran, Philippines

  • love the video, and you have a beautiful voice.

    Great job!

  • thanks a lot, vickie!! stay in touch, and see you around here. :)

  • nice voice.. gotta admit though, at 2:09 - I started cracking up! Those moves were -- funny!

  • hahahahaaa... i can see that. :)

  • I am Danish, even though I'm not proud of it. People are very selfish minded here and I don't enjoy the culture, so I'll do my best to move abroad and settle down. Probably not the Phillipines, since that's more like a place for me to relax and experience things in my holidays. But the Festival sounds interesting, could be ground for a visit :)

The university city is called Dumaguete, I recall now. There weren't so much to do, but it was quite nice for a few days :b

  • I visited the Phillipines for the 2nd time this summer with 10 years of difference. I was only a little kid back then, but for sure this is one of the only countries left that has kept it's true charm without being destroyed by arrogant tourists. Wonderfull people here. And good song :)

  • wow.. where did you go, exactly? you're right, there are many areas in the philippines that have remained untouched, and are pretty much virginal... but there are also some that have now become tourists spots... can't help it, i guess.

    Thanks!!!

  • We went to Cebu first, which wasn't so good compared to the over places. We lived in kind of a fortress and had nothing to do :-/

But then we went to Bohol, Siquior, and University city at a big island, Manila and Puerto Galera. Siquior was brilliant and the people were really nice all here. Funny, there were schools all over that island ;b

From Bohol we took a boat trip, just like 10 years ago, where we snorkled at Balicasag, which was absolutely amazing, clearest water ever :o)

  • Amazing... Bohol and Squijor are in my list of places to visit. But I generally venture into one new place only every time i go home. I hsave never even heard of University Island. LOL. Last year, I went to Bohol and Samal Island, and I was thoroughly impressed. I would have also loved to go to Palawan, but that's a bit out there. You know, the best way to feel the beauty of being in Cebu is during the Sinulog Festival in January.

    Are you Filipino also?

  • tagnan mo

  • nice song brad...

  • thanks, brader!

    ;)

  • Fr. Sunny, idiay kadi Tamurung datoy? Idi nakitak dagidiay kasabaan ken ka-nyogan, I said "This is back home.". Enjoyed your videos so much.

  • Yes, Manang. This is in Tamurong. Everything in this video is Tamurong, and the main road that leads to Tamurong. :)

I have this to remind me of home, and how much I miss it... and how great it is to call this place HOME. :)

  • nice song.you have a good voice too.and very relaxing vid,haaaaay nakakamiss ang pinas.lalo na s probininsya...

  • salamat... oo nga nakaka-miss ang buhay tabing-dagat.. parang laging magaan ang mundo. mabuhay ka.

  • Dear Sunnycastillo,

You are lucky being able to call a place like that home.

  • thanks... but i also feel such an idiot for leaving home, and coming to snow and dry heat... i miss home in the islands...

  • first time to hear it..but u sing it so great ah.,pano nyan fan mo na ako...salamat!!

  • no, salamat! wow, well, time in a bottle is a folk rock classic... bo bice sang it in american idol some 2 years ago... :)

  • NICE>>> Is the first time I hear this song...

I heard it first from a Latin singer in spanish called Ricardo Arjona...

  • Hola. Yo se que hay un version de este cancion en espanol, pero pienso que el eroginal es en Ingles... de Jim Croce. Hay tambien un version de una mujer de Espana. Gracias por visitando mi canal. :)

  • More than a few of us are worried that you will love being back home so much that you might not come back. Say it isn't so!

It dipped down to 15 degrees tonight. Time to pull out that down parka.

    Travel back safely, friend.

  • Thanks!! It is honestly already quite hard now that I am winding down to my final days of being here in the philippines... it's the inevitable, though, that i have to go back to America... God calls, you see...

Thanks for the warning... I did not even bring a jacket with me when i flew back home, so I'll see what I can do about warmers as i travel back to Chicagoland. God bless you!!!

  • Hey Fr. Sunny!

    good video

looking forward to when you come home back to St. Mikes. We miss you!

  • Time is flying by fast!

In no time, I will be back in cold, chilly, snowy Illinois.

I pray all the snow would be melted when I return. :)

  • loved it again, keep on singing! G-d bless

  • Thanks!! God bless you always.

  • Great song, I'll have to ask you to play this next time I stop by on blog.

  • Hhmm... I have to find the chords. :)

Thanks, bro!!! Was good to see you at Jae's broadcast.

  • Nice job on this one! Doesn't sound like an easy one to sing. Hows Viva La Vida going? :P

    ~Goldman

  • Zup bro! Good to see you stopping by... I am not even anywhere close to Viva of Viva la Vida... I have a long list of songs to learn, so we'll see in 6 months. haha.

Youre right about your observation. This song is surprisingly more difficult to sing than it appears to be. It requires some serious attentiveness... and the sustains are demanding. :)

  • Wow you certainly are in paradise! It's hard to imagine that places so beautiful exist and that you actually grew up there. I love the song and your voice came through so beautifully also. Have a safe trip and hurry back! We miss you!

  • It's so surreal even for me... I didn't appreciate my roots as much as i do now. The distance has allowed me to see the great things that I have always had since i came to see the light of day.

I am feeling even how that my vacation is short. haha. Soon, I'll be back, in time for thanksgiving. Meanwhile send my love to everyone in the parish. :)

  • Payapang dalampasigan! ;)

  • Asus! Lumubog na po yun sa dagat.

  • Always great to be back in Pinas! :D

    Great singing as always

    peace

  • Thanks! Yup. there's nothing like going back to your roots. It strengthens foundations. Peace to you too!!!
