  • @URRMartin, these are decubitus ulcers caused by the constant weight of the patient against the skin. These are extreme cases that are likely exaggerated by the presence of fecal matter causing infection, as well as overall neglect. These patients are almost always bed bound and either unable to communicate or are unaware of their condition. In the United States, the caregivers almost always face punishment. I've only ever heard of cases this bad. THis video is the first time I've seen one.

  • ok..question is..what caused this..and how is it now..will it ever heal at all or will it be a cronicle wound?

    These wounds are quite capable of healing, they require packing and as you see above for the shallower wounds, or a wound vac, or vaccumn, which keeps a constant negative pressure on the wound accelerating drainage and promoting rapid tissue generation. They essentially fill up with scar tissue from the inside out.

  • @URRMartin Bueno ,decirte que no siempre , estas heridas son produidas por el abandono o falta de hijiene, precsamente en este caso es todo lo contrario.el paciente esa perfectamente atendido en todos los aspectos, es un hombre joven de 53 años y en plena consciencia. Su problema se acrecento con un trauma circulatorio.
