  • beautiful bike..congratulations

  • Hey Thomas, this is another work of art Masterpiece!!However, as much as i absolutely love the clean sexy lines & appointments on the CB500's...they still needed atleast 8 to 10 more HorsePower as the power to weight ratio was quite poor HOWEVER having said that...it drove & rode very smooth but still needed a BigBore kit up to 547cc!!!

  • still need the pipe, hope mine turns out like that

    Four fourever,Tom

  • @Ferenz1111 Yeah, but a 50cc 2 stroke would well keep up with a 125 4 stroke :)

  • @PuRpLexHaZe420 Hi there,

thanks a lot for your message. Can´t hardly tell about the costs, but it`s easy to spend 3 or 4 thousend dollars or even more for a full restoration. Best part sources are ebay, CMS

in the netherlands and david silver spares in England.

    Four fourever,Tom.

  • YEEAAHH!!! I remember so much travels with my dad!!! And same beautiful green!!! Absolutely great!!!

  • @Kwaraz Hi, thank you very much for your great comment. It`s still a pleasure to

  • Hi there anywhere,

thanks a for your very kind comment. Well, all these old carbs are special, but don´t let your head hang down, I´m shure you will get it syncd soon, maybe a full set of

Keyster jets and needles, floatvalves etc... should solve your problem.

Keyster is a manufacturer for many old carbsets,

    hold on, Tom.

  • hi @Ferenz1111 can i know where you get the spare parts?

  • @Roadball

Hi roadball, thank you very much for your very kind comment. Here are the adresses that

you need: Try at davidsilverspares or cmsnl hey are having everything

    you need,

    Tom.

  • Hi Kris, thank you very much for your very nice comment about my CB 500.

Well the restoration was all done by myself, except the enginge, the carburator

overhaul and the paint job. Most chromeparts are new, as well as most of the electric and cable stuff.

Costs of restauration like this are quite high, especially if you want everything in original quality and look. I cant tell you the exact ammount, i never counted it out, but

aprox. € 3000,-- should come near, plus the bike itself..

    Tom

  • hey. i love your motorcycle, as well as all honda cb's from the seventies.

have you restored it yourself? how much work is that? is it possible for amateurs (people with little or no experience with mechanics) to restore a bike like this?

  • Beautiful bike, great restauration job, congrats. Your bike looks like to be something between 1972 and 1974, it means maybe K4, never K1.

Anyway ... great job, the engine sounds pretty cool.

Greetings from Rio de Janeiro, Brasil.

  • @NPMCaptain

Hi captain, thank you very much, especially to brasil, for your very nice comment.

Believe me its a K1, as engine and frame no. show.

    Best wishes, fourever Four,

    Tom.

  • nice nice i have 7 bikes and only one cx 500 honda but someone is giving me one of these tommorrow for free .. no tittle and sitting for 7 yrs. but it cant be as bad as a kz 750 16 yrs. in a barn restoration

  • @extreeeeeemist Hi there,

thanhs alot for your comment, and believe the restoration will be worth every penny.

    Tom from Germany.

  • Simply amazing. I guess it is a K0 model, the first model issued.

  • Hi, lordas 7919.

Thanks a lot for your very nice comment.

The Bike is one of the first K1 made.

    Many greetings, Tom.

  • Fabulous ! If you're as handsome as your bike, women everywhere must be creaming their underwear. Easy on those revs with no load on the engine though !

  • Hi MikeJS57,

great comment, thank you very much. And the women, best on 9.000 rpm.

    Many greetings, Tom.

  • That is true, man.

    Best on 9.000 rpm.

  • Hi retrorides, tahnk you very much for your kind comment, took 3 years of restoration and lots of

effort. The color is original Honda Candy jade green. Thanks once more, Tom

  • That's a stunner! you have done a beautiful job of restoring this CB, sounds amazing! That paint colour is superb, reminds me of the green colour of benelli and VanVeen bikes from the seventies. :-)
