There have been so many covers of this beautiful Leonard Cohen song. John Cale really put it on the map but my favourite version (apart from Leonard's) is K.D. Lang's. Her voice, passion and interpretation take me to another place. When I hear Damien's take on it, all I can do is yawn. I think that real stars create their own music and only presume to interpret the masterpieces of the greats when they've proven themselves with their own work.

Have a look at his lips at the beginning of it - they appear to be more consistent with an 'l' than an 'm'. Seems to be more a style issue than memory lapse. On the bright side, the falsetto at the end of the song is incredible.
