  • Eric Clapton eat your heart out this is so extra special there aren't enough adjectives to describe it.

I really LOVE these videos that show his LOVE for playing.

  • These guys used to play at the club I owned in NYC. Great band and what an amazing night to have Bruce sit in.

  • Is this Los Straitjackets? ha ha...I kid.

  • this was the set BETTER THINGS / MUSTANG SALLY / STEMS AND SEEDS / ALL ALONG THE WATCHTOWER / NOT FADE AWAY

Any one have the complete tape?

  • Comment removed

  • The complete audio has been making the rounds for years in Springsteen circles

  • what a guy. everyone else on stage is so stoked

  • the first song is Better Things (The Kinks)

  • @atty18 not it's not. It's Brighter Things, I think it's one of their own songs.

  • what is the first song they played? by who?

  • Hello to Tom Donovan my childhood neighbor on 5 Redwood Terr. John Murray, say high to your brother John and Kenny O!

  • Amazing! Can't believe I never saw this before! I miss the Circus!!

  • Wow! I can't even believe that this is here! I was at this show, it was freaking amazing. So much emotion. Thank you so much for posting this. I miss solar circus :(

thanks for sharing - wow, what a moment and a memory for these guys

  • Yeah Jason Crosby now plays with Robert Randolph doesn't he?

  • keyboard guy is losing his mind for all of the right reasons

  • Thanks so much for posting this . I heard about this but this is the first time hearing it and I have been a fan of Solar and Mark for about 15years since first catching them in Ocean City MD and this being the day after Jerry Garcia's pasing must have been very special to all there !

  • people don't realize bruce was hanging in a surfboard factory and doing this type of music in the early 70's long before he became 'the new dylan' and 'broooce!'

his guitar playing is seriously underrated.

  • Awesome!! Thanks for posting this, can't believe I haven't come across this before today.

  • Man it is so nice for musicians to step out of their genres. It helps you grow. The keyboardists reaction is great. I did a show with Solar Circus back in 1994 I think it was. They are one of the better jams bands.

  • OMG that is the greatest thing EVER. Never thought I would say my BRUCE doing DEAD tribute stuff!I can't believe I never saw this....thanks so much for posting.

  • This is a treasure and all thanks are due to whomever is Brett - what a story to this amazing bit of tape. Thanks for posting!

  • BRUCE! Do an album with Juggling Suns!

  • wow , That song brings back memories ... the gateway l.b.i. n.j. back in the day , miss them

God Bless Mark and Tom and Bruce

  • saw them so many times in Tuscaloosa, AL. always great/fun. Great conversations with the drummer after one show.

  • some of the best guitar ever heard bruce play, real bluzy

  • Bruce is great but SOLAR CIRCUS was better than PHISH - back in the day. Had seen them live in Auburn, ALABAMA (War Eagle) about 8 times...excellent shows. It's 2007 - Solar Circus - REUNITE AND TOUR!

  • I would love to see Bruce come out w/ a blues type CD, where he plays alot of guitar solos. His prowess on guitar has always been underrated. Starting at about 1:38 the keyboard player has the look like "Holy shit! Bruce Springsteen is playing w/ us"!.............Great clip. Thanks for posting.

  • Better things and brighter days...so true. MTBbeer, nice find man...some crazy times back then. GTFD, S.B.B. and B.B. HEADS. I think Puppet Master was at this show...you know who. LOL!!!

  • Holy shit...Mark D. I'm a Jersey Head- saw these guys more than I can count (even when I moved to Philly and even on New Years Eve 1992 at the Court Tavern)- (and when Ken played bass)...some of the best times o' my life. New Brunswick NJ...and 'Speski was there too---keep goin' Mark.

  • I GOT BRUCE BUMPS...

  • Sounds like Jerry Garcia...

  • great jammin here ill tell ya they rock unreal ty alot for this a great moment in history...5 stars

  • ... he walks by, and just like this, some jamming, very unpretentiuos - great stuff, thanks a lot brianne9999, 5+ stars!

  • Ty brianne9999, made my day

  • El Boss tan grande como siempre.

  • HOLY COW

  • I enjoyed this video very much.

  • that keys guys is way too high!

  • Yeah but I know how it is as a musician to play with someone at that level, it can be inspiring.

  • Yeah but he is having a good time. It is funny though.

  • Man, that was great! That was Bruce's tribute to Jerry Garcia. The Boss felt the need to jam with Solar Circus (excellent Dead cover band from Jersey in the 90s) one day after Garcia died.

  • False, but that was a popular theory. Bruce was just there to scope out the digs for an upcoming party for his wife. He saw the band setting up and agreed to join them if they were all set up before he was ready to leave. Fortunately, history was made!

  • increible, muchas gracias...

  • Thanks a lot. Great guitar playing!

  • Awesome, thanks for sharing this!!!!

  • WOW

  • Is that really Bruce with solar circus, the jam band I saw in the 90s!? Holy cow, to say it nicely...

  • Thanks Brianne! This is great! :)

  • simply awesome
