why did the big 3 sue california?? because they like to sell fuel guzzling vehicles. they claim they have to add more additional equipment to their vehicles & raise the prices higher. due to emission standards. In my opinion first those gas guzzling engine got to go if they want to survive. second improve reliabilty. finally keep up with stringent emissions standards.

i dont know about you guys, but i think if GM didnt own so many different car factories it wouldnt face this problem, i mean what if there was only Cadillac, GMC, and Chevy and Pontiac, get rid of the rest, or LIMIT them not over-produce them. but thats just me, maybe im wrong. but i hope they work something out. this is a problem that we are all facing not just GM, Chrysler and Ford.

figures-i just bought a Dodge,after 14 years of Chevys ( still have 1 new Chevy-wife`s ) so what happens to warranties,service,parts ect. I guess that is the bright side. To be honest, From what I hear though, Toyota may be see its share of problems with issues. I work with two people who bought brand new 07 Camrys, both pf them just started to fall apart at under 30K. I was also reading reviews of both the Camry and Altima, if they keep going the way they are, they may fall off the top.

Of Course they will. What makes me upset is it that everyone thinks toyota has this indisctructable reliability. They think the car will run untill there is no parts left in it, and that is just simply false. They rally are cheaply made overpiced japanese scrap. And they tag this huge price tag on it and make it seem sooo good, but in reality it is not better than any american car or truck. Toyota will fall, and people will realize they were scammed by some foreign job company.

Glad to hear you bought a Dodge. Im a huge Big 3 guy myself, mainly a truck guy and old american muscle type person. Its good to hear that you have actually excperienced the other vehicles before making your decision on your car. Most people on here just talk alot of smack and dont even own a tundra or anything. Dodge is a great company, people might look down upon it becuase they think they make aweful cars/trucks, but if you take care of it- it will take care of you. Good decision!

We let my mother-in-law borrow my wifes Dodge Intrepid for few days while her Toyota Corrola (yes, A Toyota) was in the shop for a bad transmission, And on top of that, they refused to give her a loaner. What a joke. Anyway, When she got the car back, she said she'd rather keep the Intrepid! She said it was nice to have a car that moves when you hit the gas pedal. And our Intrepid is a 2001 with 160K on it with the 3.2 motor, and that car can haul, we love it!

I have always had excellent luck with Chrysler products, I dont care what people say about them. We have never had to replace our tranny on our Intrepid, and we have put 160K hard miles on this car. Plus, I bought a new Dodge Avenger R/T. That car is amazing, of course its under-praised by the "Professionals" But I already put 30k on that car with no problems, and we got a lifetime warranty, Something that Toyota or Nissan dont have the balls to offer.

Well, I saw that in the truck category, the Silverado unfortunately is top seller. But for midsize sedan, Toyota Camry has that, for compact car, it's either Corolla or Civic. For minivan, it's going off and on with the Grand Caravan and the Odyssey.. Small truck is Toyota Tacoma. If I'm wrong, then send me an article proving me wrong, but thats what I last saw on the internet. And yea, I know.. I heard from people that American automakers won't shut down...but it's a good chance they will

HAHAHA that is a joke. do you even know what kind of engines are in American diesel trucks? There is no way toyota can come out with a better diesel engine than any of the big 3 HD diesels. Dodge has the Cummins(best diesel engine on the market) Ford has the Power Stroke, and Chevy has a Duramax. I think toyotas engine will be a piece of junk compared to any of the big 3's engines. No where near as much torque or hp let alone reliability.

Yes. I know a guy who took his truck on a wicked offroad course. The truck rolled over. He ended up in the hospital, but his truck was in the garage, 1 piece, just a little dirt and mud. Guess what it was? Dodge Ram Super Duty.

Sure GM is in the midsts of bankruptcy but merging with chrystler will help. They will bring in ALL of Chrystlers revenue plus their own. This will benifit our economy. Its better than chrystler merging with nissan or any foreign company and giving money to other countries for their sales. By merging together Ford can keep the number 1 spot on sales, and GM/Chrystler will take number 2- thus keeping American sales on the top spots and not letting foreign crap take over our economy.

This is going to be a great thing for America if they merge. Ford will stay number 1, GM/Chrystler number 2- This will keep foreign crap from taking over our market. Hopefully GM helps Dodge with a great powertrain, and Dodge gives GM the cummins or title to the hemi. Hummer/Jeep, that would be an awesome thing. Id rather see American companies merge together rather than Chrystler try to merge with Foreign companies. This will help the American companies stay ontop and overall help our economy.
