the guy sounds like he was a moron, sometimes you have to over-price things though because guys like that will try to knock the price down (if the tree was $4 he would have said 2 or 3) you have to be an aggressive sales-women lol
That guy was so stupid and rude asking to lower the price of something really cheap and he had the money for the original price. I never try to bring price's down on garage sales the only time I will try to bring the price down is if i am at a pawn shop. I live near 2 of them and I go there alot so they know me pretty well. I have found and bought a good amount of anime movies and dvd's for only $2. I even found a complete anime series called a.d police for only $2 now that was a deal.
@tetsubo57 I just would never do that when something is already marked incredibly low. For the most part I marked everything 10% of what I think a new one would cost...that's so low...why would you try and go lower? I just find that ridiculous and rude...

Pokemon cards make a lot of money and thats soooooo stupid how they do that. Every popular anime has cards Like Naruto the show has nothing to do with card neither does pokemon neither does any anime that has cards expect Yu Gi Oh so they have no menaing.
@VongolaXEspada Well cards do make sense (other than making money). It's a way to play a game. But it is pretty ridiculous...something gets popular and BAM cards
My parents always haggled at garage sales when we lived in Washington. It doesn't hurt to ask? Blame the economy? ^^;;
I hope your next sale goes better! I once went to a garage sale that had a sign that said: "Don't forget to pick up your free cookie by the table." I think that put a lot of people in a good mood because that lady was selling things like the wind, plus she was just so sweet. :]
I hope those cookies weren't laced with marijuana. xD

Like he took a backpack that would PROBABLY cost 30 new (it was one of those wheel ones that you can drag and in really great shape...barely used) and it was a dollar...wouldn't buy it unless it's 50 cents...just so frustrating. Oh well...

I had a guy be kinda rude at a recent yard sale so I know how you feel. I'm glad it got better after that though :)

Bargaining is part of the yard sale game. It can be frustrating for the seller however.
