Tales of Phantasia vs. Tales of Symphonia

Phantasia is actually 1 of the few earliest release of the tales series.. if only they remake it into 3D ver in PS-3 :(

I recently started playing Phantasia and even though I support Symphonia 100% (duh) I really like Phantasia. If you played Symphonia and liked it, get Phantasia. I also think Phantasia is the easiest to find in store. (GBA)

I think I'll like Phantasia more if it was just like Symphonia, a 3D version. not only because I liked the characters ( except for Mint because she didn't heal -.-') cause Symphonia had some cool characters too (Yes, I'm also talking 'bout Kratos) but I loved the soryline wich they had to travel trough times, then again Symphonia had a better view of the hate against half-elves. But I always wanted a Male summoner ^--^ I guess I can't decide wich is better....

Tales of Phantasia was a great game for the SNES,PS1, and PSP(Not so much on GBA LOL),Tales of Symphonia raised the roof on its RPG and Multibattle system it was also the first one to be 3D(And LLoyd was awesome :))I guess I pick Tales of Symphonia but Tales of Phantasia is still cool(Needs to make a better remake than the GBA did)

I don't know why, but after playing through Symphonia and Phantasia, watching the Ovas, and comparing all information I'd gathered and such, Dhaos from Phantasia makes me think it's really Mithos... He reminds me so much of him, and his concern for the tree is an odd coincidence I think, I wonder if anybody else feels this way... I'm just stating my opinion; no need to bash me or anything.

nah there's no real connection between the 2. But high similarities.

dhaos wanted to revive is home planet , while mithos wants to create a world of lifeless being ;D

Dhaos needed the mana seed to revive derris Kharlan while Mithos needed it to revive his sister Martel. Realy, just similarities. The 2 tales are different from one another just alike.

Thats an interesting way to look at it, but I have to disagree. Dhaos is a lot more righteous and has justified motives while Mithos is more selfish. Then again, i suppose 4000 years is enough to change a person.
