Spend the extra grand and buy the XF100 like I did. Trust me its worth it, this camera only qualifies as a prosumer because of the xlr, everything about it can be found in consumer cameras. Not to mention, the handle is detachable, that's never good because over time the connection will wear out and your audio will sound distorted. I'm sure if you have over 2k to spend on this piece of crap, you will have an extra grand to just buy the real thing.

Seems like an awesome camera however for a similar price you can get a Sony NEX VG10/20 (well in the UK you can anyway) and personally I'd see the interchangable lens on the Sony as a dealbreaker!

Those who can't afford one:

Look into getting the Canon VIXIA HF-G10. It's almost exactly the same, it just doesn't have a handle, XLR inputs, and it only has half the built in flash memory, but it's at least $500 cheaper.

@CPCookieMan It doesn't just shoot in 24fps, I believe it does up to 60p. 24p is used to give a cinematic look and is only found on high end cameras. The fact that this natively shoots 24p is a big deal.
