  • love crossfit:) by the way does anyone know if the athletes are tested for steroids berfore the games? I´m not saying that i believe that they are taking steroids, I would just like if one sport in this world wouldn´t get ruined by roids...

  • @skater506 - yes, just look at the puny, wasted physiques of Mikko Salo, Jason Khalipa, Rob Orlando, Rich Froning. They look like they'd blow over in a stiff breeze . . .

  • they invented a new sport which is muscle deterioration, they called it the crossfit games...

  • ill give the guys a break here, 4:00 boys

  • Comment removed

  • oh shit, that asian dude was a chick!

  • Crossfit is an extreme workout. Must be more at risk of injury though. Going till exhausted and form is failing does not seem like a good idea.

  • The world's most beautiful women are crossfit.

  • @eversilent123 this is very similar to what we did for conditioning in football. A mid-range circuit where you run, do a set of weight lifts, another run, another set, and so on. All it was was mixing cardio with the weightlifting to push our endurance to our limit.

  • @poofartass it is for a different reason. Most do pull ups to build muscle, so you go at an even pace and don't jerk or swing. These guys are more trying to push to exhaustion, as many as you can in a time limit or a set number as fast as you can. Form is still an issue just not as strict.

  • Who's the girl at 30?

  • For what it's worth I met Annie Thorsdotter a couple of weeks ago and she was nothing but polite, just a really nice young person and (obviously an incredible athlete). I'm a fan.

  • If you didn't feel it at the Games, I'm sorry for you. It was an incredible event and has been every year. Amazing people, pretty fantastic. Anyone who doesn't get it is just- well, you just don't get competition and people exceeding themselves.

  • 1:06 I wonder do people really do pullups like that ? It looks like a monkey. My dad taught me to never swing on the bar and keep it nice and slow. I guess people do it that way for a different reason. I don't wanna hate or anything, I just wanna understand why I see so many people swinging around on the bar like monkeys

  • I've never done cross fit, but el oh el at eversilent hahaha...tard

  • My stepson never ever runs but he bikes everyday. He then entered a foot race and ran 93rd percentile in a very large group (>1000). (So the data is reliable.) My point is that there are many ways to train, and many of them cross over. Do what makes you happy!

  • I love how Mikko comes out from behind the curtain like a Boss

  • 1:58 she took so many steroids that she grew a penis out of her belly button

  • Dope footage. Music is wack.. I know you got to switch it up every now and then, but I'm trying to get pumped for the gym and this music makes me just want to stay in bed and wipe the tears from my vigina and i'm a dude.. smh

  • song?

  • Good! (Y)!!!!

  • 8 people don't understand the meaning of "Agony & Laughter" ;)

  • Do they do olympic style steroid testing for these games. some of these people have to be juicing or doing epo for endurance

  • @SnukkaFly i dont think they do testing but i would find it very hard to think they are using any type of steroid. Only cuz crossfit is about the trust and most pure from of hard work. those are just the results

  • @SnukkaFly yes, they test

  • play a sport....

  • @decker1215 Hope your joking

  • crossfit is an amazing tool/methodology to be used periodically. if you attempt to be crossfit crazy 100% of the time, the chance and probability for serious injury over the long term is 100%. training for 3-5yrs is cool...training for 20+ years, living the lifestyle, requires thoughtfulness. I hate seeing kipling pull ups...hey crazy lady, do 10-12 wide grip chins from a dead hang...impress me.

  • Hello, someone know this song? Thanks.

  • wow I need to find me a crossfit gal

  • Why are the crossfit girls absolutely ripped and symmetrical, but the guys all have mediocre physiques? I know; it's not about aesthetics, but seriously. A lot of the girls look 10 times better than the guys.

  • Can you find crossfit gym anywhere in the US?

  • @oLETTERSo hey letters, theyre a crossfit discovery that ive seen in the US but idunno if it's the same

  • They got chicken shit compared to the 250.000 that they've got this year!

  • CROSSFIT IS amazing i feel like a new person everytime i did their WOD it really makes me think special people may ask what i do for living and i will tell them crossfit and work .

  • What's the name of the song???

  • crossfit is only good for making girls hot. it barely makes up for the tools it creates..

  • @rogue8853 Meh, crossfit has just as many tools as any other conditioning programme/sport. Plenty of bodybuilders that are pricks, plenty of powerlifters that are pricks, plenty of mmartists that are pricks etc etc. Exercise does not make one into a tool, they're simply a git who uses exercise as a new outlet for their toolishness ;)

  • @ThePhezant hehe well said. its always fun to battle though in jest ;) bc whatever we do is obv the best. duh haha

  • @rogue8853 Obviously, if it wasn't the best then why would we do it ;) hahahaha. Tbh the main reason i follow crossfit is because i enjoy it, before the gym was such a predictable, monotonous place lol.

  • @ChrisDsnuts97 Either way I'm sick of the elitist attitude of people that do crossfit. He stereotypes every body builder as being big and slow and worn out after 30 seconds it simply isn't true. I have a friend that does crossfit and I can beat him in any event whether it be stuff like in the video or running speed or max lifts it doesn't matter and he is bigger than me. There are other routines that work better just because they aren't as popular with the masses doesn't mean they don't work

  • @6second2004gto So your a body builder that is smaller than a crossfitter and in greater shape than him? This makes absolutely no sense what so ever! LOL!!!

  • @russebla000 I do russian power lifting routines, plyometrics, sprints, and mma training so I'm not a bodybuilder. I'm 5'6" and weight about 150 pounds at 9% body fat. I squat 325, bench 265, and deadlift 415. I can still run a 40 yard dash in 4.4 seconds and flexible enough to put my foot behind my head. All this and I'm 36 years old. I'm just dispelling the myth that bodybuilders are big, slow, inflexible, and their strength isn't functional. It's all lies check my speed bag video.

  • @6second2004gto body builders may be fast, flexbile, and strong, but from my experience as an athlete throughout highschool and at the collegiate level, i've found that body builders usually lack good coordination for sports. crossfit is a much more efficient workout

  • @BlooBandit What you just said doesn't even make sense. If someone is faster, more flexible, and stronger then how can you blame their workout routine on their ability to perform in a sport? Some people are naturally better athletes if pro body builders were better athletes they would be playing football it's not their routine that kept them from doing it. Crossfit created their own games to justify it's existence because the people that do crossfit couldn't make it as pros in other sports.

  • @6second2004gto BODY BUILDERS mess there body up to an extend. that they are not flexible and fast and lack cordination.... any more.and almost all pro body builders take steroids. this is far from natural crossfit took every major sports mixed it up to creat the ulitimate workout.....

  • @rnlmc23para What credentials do you have to determine that crossfit is the ultimate workout? If it was the ultimate workout then why don't professional athletes in other sports use crossfit as their method of improving performance? Ever think why they had to create the crossfit games? Because no athletes in professional sports use it so they had to create a sport to justify their existance. The people that compete in crossfit games don't even do the workouts of the day that says alot...lol

  • @russebla000 He is taller and heavier, but I can lift more weight on all the major lifts than him. I'm also faster in a foot race and more flexible.

  • Excellent song....reminds me of Sigor Ros...both Scandinavian bands...pure class!!!

  • 4:00

Don't say you didn't enjoy it.

  • This video is just awesome....

I love this song also.. jus downloaded it! It's my new favourite song! good luck all those going to the regionals! Tear it up! :D

  • When Mikko comes out from behind the curtain, I get goose bumps

  • I don't do crossfit but why do people that do it say it's good but doesn't get you big? Look at some of the dudes in this video, some of them are pretty fuckin big

  • This is my favorite video to watch before a work out or a game. That, and a certain All Blacks Tribute video.

  • Does anyone know the name of this song?

  • Awsome :D

  • Great video, verry inspirational and cinematic.

  • 1:58 wtf happed to her bellybutton

  • @pim1337 She went beat mode a little too much, love started pouring out her button...

  • @pim1337 Usually this happens when you get air into the belly button. The doctor would Cut it to release the air out.

  • @pim1337 she probably got her tubes tied and you enter from the belly button and the doctor was stupid...

  • @pim1337 it's like a small penis protruding from her stomach

  • Crossfit is awesome. Powerlifting is awesome. Bodybuilding is awesome. Dig what you dig, and stop whining about how this isn't that and that isn't this. It's like watching bowling and complaining that it isn't curling. Duh. Hey, banjo is awesome too. But Crossfit makes me look better naked.

  • @nightfrailer If 'lookingg better naked' is what you're looking for, then go ahead. But please, don't call yourself an athlete. Crossfit is NOT for athletes. If it was, more pro athletes would be using it. A good strength trainer would never maketheirathlete do high reps of these olympic lifts like what is seen in crossfit gyms everywhere.Cleaning more than 6 reps is stupid and dangerous, and if you dont understand why, you have no business in the physical science field

  • @eversilent123 ok genius. I did a half ironman triathlon last month running less than 8 miles a week in training and I beat 60% of the other racers on the half marathon AFTER a 1.3 mile open water swim and a 58 mile bike race. I do bike races and vanish past packs of riders with ease training half the miles they do. I had two blown shoulders and now thanks to crossfit I can walk on my hands and do fifty yards of front handsprings. What do you do genius? Stay eversilent.

  • @eversilent123 CrossFit is GPP, and GPP is for athletes. CrossFit ideas are nothing new, some smartass just put a name to it, and did a great marketing job.

  • Dont Knock IT, Till You Try It

  • cool music, as always in CF videos

  • I believe in crossfit. like most people I have been training since I was 14 or 15 off and on. The best shape of my life came from crossfit though. But there is still something to be said for 'body builder" style training. What is somewhat disturbing is the obvious signs of steroid use, at least in the men. I Dont want crossfit games turning into a freak show like bodybuilder events. with Reebok putting up $1 million I am scared it will turn into just that.

  • lol at the McDonald's advertisement in the background @ 2:51

  • i thought it was Dolf Lungren @ 3.05

  • @jo3yhoang "Release All Light" by De La Mancha!

  • wait..is that asian guy a guy? or a chic? I thought it was a dude until I saw he/she wearing a sports bra at 5:16

  • @headlessprimate tis a woman

  • @headlessprimate there is no 5:16, but you're probably referring to Kristan Clever, the 2010 *womens* champ.

  • @phil7765 I agree. I know some of these top level cross fit guys are pretty damn elite so I think it will be pretty close.

  • crossfit girls are soo hot

  • crossfit girls are soo hot

  • can anyone tell me the name of the song?

  • I watch this video everyday before I workout. This is a lifestyle, a commitment, and one of the biggest parts of my life now. CrossFit.....How real athletes train!

  • what song is this?

  • @phil7765 FYI Olympic decathletes would beat any Cross Fit champion in these workouts. Do you know how powerful and how fast (speed + endurance) those top decathletes are? Im talking people who can power clean 160kg AND run a sub 5 min mile. The cross fit champion this year can barely run sub 1min for 400m-thats pretty poor. Cross Fitters need to drop the self appointed 'fittest on earth' tag-sorry but decathletes have that crown.

  • @pharry4life that's fine tell em to go test their methods then, that's what the CrossFit games is about. My money is on a crossfitter any day. It's one thing to have speed, power, strength and endurance, separately as opposed to having it all together (ie your decathlete's 160kg power clean and a sub 5 mile) although impressive lets see how fast they do the first event at the games: 9-7-5 reps for time of: muscle ups / Snatches 135lbs.

  • @bowleskevin I'm sorry but you are a little blinkered if you truly believe some amateur athletes are going to surpass pro decathletes. Decathlete greats like Daley Thompson were doing evil circuit training back in the early 1980. If decathletes could prepare for 2 weeks in that sequential fashion they would beat these contestants. Plus any event that involved running or any sustained cardio (like rowing) even the top crossfitters would get slaughtered-their running times are poor.

  • @pharry4life *Note: Just to open your eyes a little, there are crossfitter's who have 160kg (352lbs) power cleans and cleans that also have 5min-sub 5min mile times that didn't even qualify for the games. Those two skills are total opposite ends of the athletic spectrum what about everything in the middle... ie: bodyweight/gymnastic skills or events that take longer than 5mins, 10mins, 15mins, 30mins....

  • @bowleskevin Running a mile would probably induce a similar lactate build up to doing some repetitive weight lifting task-so I don't think they are 'opposite ends' of the athletic spectrum. Running a marathon is the far end of the graph. Like it or not, CF definition of fitness often boils down to repetitive weightlifting or body weight exercises, but wouldn't you rather have the ability to do 26 foot long jumps and be in great aerobic shape than perform 50 135lb cleans in a row very quickly.

  • 1:59 crazy belly button!

  • ones you start it will become your life...for a reason!

  • Real world strength, explosiveness, endurance, coordination & functionality

  • You will not be fitter than a crossfitter doing mma, but mma will give you almost as great a workout (minus the strength and explosiveness), but you learn how to fight in mma. Crossfit will not teach you how to fight, and that ability is vital to functional survival in a society consumed by violence. A 3 minute Fran means nothing when you are fighting for your life in a back alley.

  • @freemage22 what are you talking about? This is a strength and conditioning program, with what --I-- think is the best community with the greatest people with the best common attitude for health and positive lifestyle.I have done MMA krav maga for a long time now and many people who does crossfit also trains martial arts. If you want to train for survival then you should train to defend against knife attacks multiple attackers and scenario training(krav.Survival does not equal flying armbar techs

  • @freemage22 where the fuck do you live? hahahaha

  • My zero hour weights teacher has us do Cross fit, and I love the workouts there so badass.

  • AWESOME! Inspirational video, very impressive performances.

    I know, I´ve tried them.

  • how do u possibly expect to get stronger doing chin ups like that, there called cheat reps which is what you do when your to tired to do it the proper way. muscles break down mostly on the negative and when you simply dont have a negative portion of the rep. this very severly hampers your strenght gains.

  • @7michiganz Its a functional movement and your being taught how to do things with efficiency and speed, why dont you quit being a conventional youtube douchebag and go try one of these workouts yourself.

  • @zeppelin0814 trying is doing with the intention of failing, and thats exactly what that little bitch is going to do

  • @7michiganz Try it out and you will be amazed how much stronger you get.

Been a Bouncer for ten years and never been afraid of a bodybuilder. Big, slow and worn out after 30 seconds.

Most of the worlds elite soldiers train like this (that I know as a fact ;) ) More and more professionel atletes do it.... Maybe there's a reason.......

  • @PhtlsDK where can we start something like this? very interesting..

  • @PhtlsDK

you my friend are correct. I go to the military college of Canada and I can tell you for a fact that about half of the people here do crossfit

  • @PhtlsDK That is a myth I do power lifting routines and I'm not slow watch my speed bag video if you have doubts. I have nothing against crossfit I have a friend that does it, but they do spread alot of misinformation about other types of routines. I do explosive low rep compound movements with heavy weights and still have great flexibility and run a mile in less than 5 minutes. I'm not saying my routine is any better than anyone else's, but you can stop with the lies.

  • @PhtlsDK This IS how to train tho, you train to get strong, but noy only some parts of the body, but all of it. A bodybuilder that trains with fewer reps will have the strength and endurance if he runs on teh side, the thing about bodybuilders is that they dont train FOR strength, they train for size. Understand that :D. OFC if you wanna be STRONG, you train explosive like this, all muscles, not just chest and arms xD and you run aswell. Superhuman :D

  • @Etrajbe Training crossfit does not make you a better athlete or give you any functional strength for athletics. training crossfit makes you better at crossfit workouts. THATS IT. Speeding through olympic lifts and doing high reps of them risks injury and does NOTHING for explosiveness and the other results olympic lifts are used for in the first place

  • @eversilent123 Surely you cant be serious? of course someone pro like this has. Better support muscles, stronger muscles, is faster, more agile and flexible, jump higher and further and has better cardio than any normal human being, wtf are u talking about?

  • @eversilent123 In my local crossfire box the guy who started it does 270kg Deadlifts and 100 pull-ups in about 2 minutes (not kipping) While staying super lean and maintaining good cardio, this is not just "above average" In fact, this is a world record in pull-ups (should he decide to go for it) and pull-ups are one of the sentral things of upper body strength.

  • @eversilent123 your dumb =)<3

  • people who lift for sports are bodybuilding, people in this video are bodybuilding, bodybuilding doesnt mean getting huge it simply provides the best way to get stronger. and this is not it sorry

  • people who lift for sports are bodybuilding, people in this video are bodybuilding, bodybuilding doesnt mean getting huge it simply provides the best way to get stronger.

  • @7michiganz and as for your bit about bodybuilders, yes they are extremely strong. would ANY of them medal in this competition? hell no. there's something to be said about being physically fit, rather than a massive beast that can't run 3 miles.

  • yall do yourselves a favor and try bodybuilding

  • @7michiganz why? Some people don't want to get massive :\

  • @7michiganz you are an imbecile. they're called "kipping" pull ups. no, they won't work your biceps, lats, and traps as much as a conventional pull up. they are thrown into high intensity workouts that involve the whole body, hence the swinging motion and involvement of the legs and core to keep your entire body at a high level of activity. try doing supersets of those with snatch squats, for instance, and you'd have a hell of a workout. there's a reason that everyone in this video is jacked...

  • 3 people are fat.

De La Mancha - Release All Light

  • my mates give me a hard time about doing crossfit. Heres a joke I heard today.

    Q. what do u call a straight man in a crossfit box.

    A. lost

Don't care I love it, where else do I get to wear compression lycra in public ??

  • @zalko70 We're way more badass then the guys who workout at the regular 'gym'. Tell your mates to grow a sack and try CrossFit. They probably aren't man enough ot handle it.

  • @Jimmyd71482 FYI people who anoint themselves 'bad ass' , generally aren't.

  • @zalko70

Not sure where you go, but here in Texas we do Crossfit naked.

  • most high level crossfitters use steroids to recover from hard training sessions. This is a lot different and in my opinion honurable than meat heads who juice just to look good. Try crossfit before you make disparaging remarks about our great sport.

  • @zalko70 Actually most high level crossfitters don't use sterioids. Period. Use your noodle and you'll realize they probably test for that at the games.

  • wow this was such an incredible event...you think your fit..then you crossfit and find out you havent even begun to scratch the surface of what fit is....you think this is silly?? these events can be compared to real life scenerio...dont wait to learn the hard way, you couldve prepared...to save your life or someone else! crossfit takes you there...ask yourself before you begin...how much are you prepared to endure today???

  • thats MY sport. real man and women

  • Crossfit is a no nonsense work out. Ive been training at my local crossfit . since January 2010 ive had amazing results. These men and women who competed in the crossfit games and incredible athletes.

  • yeah, that song is great-anyone recognize it?

  • Crossfit is for those who are tired of the big box 's gyms and not gaining very good results. Crossfit workout will revolutionize your current fitness workout.

  • Congratulations Graham!! You went to win and made it happen....Awesome! Best of luck going forward.

  • Where are the boobies???????

  • @Zsotyi Istenem, zsotyi.... :)

  • @Kaplony Hááádde semmi mellük vazz!

  • @Zsotyi sportoló nőknek általában nincs...

  • bleed sweat, crossfit folks are some of the most hard core people i know. much props.

  • cool steroids bro

  • @GenderAlchemy you moron, these guys do not use steroids, this is pure fitness. The roid heads are the arrogant meatheads in the big gyms doing curls all day in front of a mirror. Try CrossFit and if you are man enough to handle it, continue it and quit hating on our sport.

  • look at those asses

  • look at them muscles

  • whats the name of the song?

  • What inspires you?

  • Nice video but no Masters

  • Just looked up song on sound hound Release All Light by De La Mancha
